hi all, replying to this comment, but there are multiple similar comments, so my reply is really for everyone.

Just my 2 cents here: my friend received a test invite via e-mail. When he checked the ECAS, that has not been reflected there. He checked again in a couple of days - same thing. So it might be the case that ECAS gets updated later than they actually sent an email invite.

I just wrote my test today and got my invite on Sept 28th but e-cas still just says that they started processing my file on Aug14th. They have been really bad at updating my E-cas.

If you click on in processing on ECAS it should give you an update on test and the date they sent e mail with the invite ,that what it says on mine and my husbands ,we got our e mail for interview on the 5 th October,we don’t have to sit test as we are over the age required.

My ecas status is as follows.. no test invite status yet. Guess I have to call support, will try and let you guys know.
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on May 22, 2018.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on July 19, 2018.
  3. We started processing your application on August 14, 2018.

Your application is within the timeframe; there is nothing to worry about. :)

don't you worry about it - we're both are in same boat - they started processing my application on Aug 10th and no update since then...
 
Is there a way to check if they received your fingerprints? We've been trying to call them repeatedly but it always tells me they cannot "connect my call" as they are receiving a high volume of calls. (It has said this anytime we call for the past few days).

Edit: Finally got through. The man also strangely even told me I should expect an update within the next two weeks (or by the end of the month) or I should call again.

I have checked my status on CIC website and it states that you application is in process since 01st August 2018. I am 64 years old means i will not have to appear in language exam or interview. Any suggestion when i will get the citizenship approval?????

So far only 15 our of 144 May applicants have received/done test, 3 have reached DM stage.

I am in the same boat as you. I got finger prints done through commissionaries on Sep 26th. I called CIC last week and they said they haven't recieved them yet. The agent told me to keep the proof of payment as a proof incase they dont receive them

Husband did his September 21, and it took about three or so weeks to appear in CIC's system. We called first week of October and they send they didn't get them, and when I spoke to the man yesterday he said they had received them and everything looked good, and that we should receive an update within the next two weeks or to call back. I'm not really expecting the test invite to come until sometime in November though.

Congratz for ur test....
Mine is almost same as you.... process start date is August 8th.... and since than i havn't heard any thing from them....
Dont know what to do...
Most of the people have got test date as per my details.... any one else left for same schedule...???
