My application went into Processing on August 13th . I am in Montreal . So I started hearing a lot of similar timeline friends getting test dates and thats also what the spread sheet trend shows. I called CIC today, she said my application is in Montreal office, they did background check and it passed , now wait for a test date . Can someone elaborate from experience on what is being done by CIC now?
You should be getting your test date soon hopefully, and can you please share the contact information u contacted at because I once called this 1800 number and lady told me process time is 1 year so you have to wait and if your case isn’t done within a year then you can inquire anything she never mentioned anything if my background is clear or anything she just gave me general information. I am from Calgary and my file is in process since August 7 and complete silence after that so please share contact information and also did you talk to representative or what?
I contacted the same number you contacted . and followed the instructions. I think it depends on the person answering the phone ...when I was checking my PR card, I use to get these answers as well. You just need to try and hope that you get answered by someone who can give details .

It depends on which CIC agent you speak to. Sometime they will provide you some information while at other times they will not. I am hearing again and again that test dates have a waiting list and then the Oath also has a waiting list. You should wait and hopefully, you will get your test date soon. Based on when you got all clear, you were queued up for a test date. Good luck ahead and let us know how it goes.

I am worried about my test invite letter now. I got my AOR through email, assuming test invite is also through email??? Should I call customer support and confirm? If it was through post its possible I missed because I was out of country for a month.
Most of the people from Ottawa whose AOR is past me , seems to have received the test invite letter.

No harm in calling them and checking. It costs nothing, so go ahead and call and let us know how it goes. Test invite is also through email. They never use snail mail.

Try checking your ecas first. They usually add a line mentioning invitation for the test there

Passed my citizenship test today! The interview was short, she looked at my passport and landing document. The whole process took around 40 mins. She told me once the check is done she will approve my application. What does that mean?
Probably criminality and or security checks are pending. You could order GCMS (ATIP) notes to find out; you’d get the report after 30 days of requesting/ applying.
