City: Sydney NS (I'm literally a 2 minute drive from the CPC but I still had to mail the application)

Have you got the AOR Yet ? It seems that applications received in May have not yet started getting AOR's.

Friends I have a question:

When does the processing by local office begin? Does that start immediately after we received AOR?

Processing is known to begin within 4 days to 60 days from the date of the AOR. It seems it all depends on which officer is handling the case and what is their workload. I once spoke to a case officer and he explained to me that a case officer is working on multiple applications under multiple categories. Once the file is on their table and the case is in process ,they have a lot of leverage on how much time they spend on each application and which application receives preference. Case officers tend to process diligently filed applications and simple case files first followed by the more complex ones.

My application was recieved on 04 May and I am still waiting for AOR. Please do post here when you receive your AOR ? I am from Calgary as well.
