Hi friends... congrats to the new citizens, i have a very weird question.. i am doing application for my wife and she has completed the necessary days.. i just have a doubt on the application form ..question 10 part B. The question says if you have stayed in any country for more than 183 days in last 4 years .. .. our application was approved in april 2015 and she came in september 2015. Since then we have not left the country for more than 183 days.. We did submit the police clearance from india while our application was in process. Please advise if we need a police clearance or i just submit the application with an explanation and a copy of pcc we submitted that time.. a response would be highly appreciated as always
The requirement is - if you have stayed total 183 days in a country outside Canada during last 4 years, then you need to provide the PCC, else not

issue is the file was under process during that timeframe for which we submitted the pcc and thereafter she came to canada ??? i m not sure what to do ... shall i send the application without the pcc and with an explanation?

Your question is not clear - which file was under process if you have not yet sent the application?

I lost my landing paper. Is it mandatory to take the landing papers
You will be asked to keep the landing paper with you at the interview and later on oath taking but for us they didnt check or ask for it. Landing paper is something which you will eventually need applying for old age benefits but not at this time. thanks.

They have nothing to do with landing paper. In oath they ask to bring landing paper to advise applicant to keep it for old age that anyone can apply for pension. That's all.

Received passport today. I realised that a long journey ended. From study permit to PR to passport. I felt like Candavisa forum is a family. We knew each other. Everyday morning I had to open the site to see what , who is updating each an every day. Wish you everyone come to an end the journey. Good luck.

Please clarify what's that mean- "We did submit the police clearance from india while our application was in process". What you mean your application was in process. I assume you and your spouse haven't submitted citizenship application yet. If both of you never been out of Canada more than 183 days, you don't have to worry about police clearance certificate.

Today is my one year mark since my application was received. :( hope this journey ends soon with a positive note. I have already engaged my area MP. On calling IRCC all they said was my application was transferred to Scarborough last week and they received it on May 23rd. I guess now i wait for a slot to open up there for the test there. Fingers crossed.
