Guys,

I am May 2018 applicant and received following in ecas status yesterday:

1. We sent you a notice on January 18, 2019 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on February 25, 2019 at 1:30 PM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

I haven't received any email or mail regarding this. Do we get it right away ? Or we have to wait for few days ? Or I should contact CIC.

And Why ecas status doesn't say anything regarding "test" and it says oath of citizenship ? I am confused. !

How old are you ? If you are above 54 years or age, you do not have to take the test

Please can you check your SPAM folder for any emails from IRCC. It is very likely that there is an email sitting in your junk or spam folder. If it is not, please approach CIC agent through the call centre and get another copy of the letter.

I want to know Can I apply citizenship for my spouse who became PR recently (4 months ago) along with me?

No, you cannot. You wife needs to complete the number of days 1099 in Canada since she became PR. Given the fact that she became PR 4 months, there is no way that she is eligible.

did u already pass your test? if yes, den don't worry, this seems to be your oath invite, email or mail invite might come later, but still if you want u can give a quick call to CIC, i dont' know if it will be quick coz it is very hard to get through CIC call center, good luck

Hi,
no, you can't apply for your wife now. She can apply after she fulfills a physical presence requirement (minimum 1095 days in Canada).

I am 26 years old ! I am not sure why I didn't get test invite and directly @ Oath.
I am trying to call CIC but it is very hard !

No, I didn't pass any test ! I didn't get invited for test !

Okie ...do call CIC as if they give you oath by mistake, they will revoke it in case there is an audit. As you did not get any letter, it is most likely a system mistake.

Call CIC number and redial 5-6 times in a row till they connect you to an agent.

Hey guys, just got off the phone with a CIC agent who was nice enough to give me a little bit more information about the status of my application, he said that my application is still in process, they finished 1 security check out of 3 in total, the one finished is the criminal check, the second is called security check and still in process, the 3rd didn't start yet (and I didn't catch the name)......my question is, is there anyone who knows further details about these checks? please share your knowledge
