Yeah... was pretty disappointed by his response.... but now I at the least know that I have not missed the PPR email... so I am a bit relieved

Yep ... But he told you that you would have seen the PPR email in your CIC account if it was sent out. I don't think that is true. From what I have read is that PPR is sent just by email and no notification is seen in the CIC account.
Yeah!! That's what was giving me jitters...
but he acknowledged that nothing was sent out in the past few days... so indirectly told me that there was no PPR email ... I will now keep a close eye on my emails ...
Surely, the PPR email should appear in the messages folder in the CIC account? As a backup you can also setup any emails from cic to auto-fwd to an alternate address (while keeping a copy in your current inbox) .

105 days.. .....May 15 AOR. IP2 since June 28th.....Medical passed July 4th....ordered gcms note.. ..security not started. Eligibility- review required for POF. Criminality passed....

Once spoke with an Agent by the name Peter. Very nice guy. Told me everything about my file like 6 weeks Ago. Next agent I spoke with was a very bad guy

Got off the phone with IRCC rep. After waiting for 35 minutes landed up with an unpleasant rep
I told him I wanted to know the status of my file and had some other questions as well. He wanted to know the "Other Questions" first. So, here goes the conversation:
1. My husband's and my medical expired in June, should we get another one done?
Ans:
Medicals are valid for one year and can be extended for another year. If an extension is granted then you do not need to get a new one done. If an extension is not granted, then IRCC will contact you themselves and will ask you to get it done again. Till then, no action is required from your end.
2. Which visa office is processing our file?
IRCC Rep: Are you calling from within Canada?
I: No, I am from India (he seemed a bit unhappy with the fact that I was calling from India
IRCC Rep: Then your file will most probably be in NDVO, and so I do not have any details.
I: Can you please check once, it might be in some other visa office
IRCC Rep: I need to verify some details first. Does this file belong to you... actually to you and no one else.
Then he asked my age, complete name, category under which we have applied... he instructed me to provide "specific" answers only.he kinda grilled me
He then told me my file is in Canada. He was still not interested in providing the status, and said that I can go online and check the status. My application is within the 6 month period and so checking the online CIC status is sufficient. Seemed pretty firm about it.
I told him that my spam folder was set on 15 day auto clean, I am apprehensive that I might have missed the PPR email.. that's the reason why I am worrying and calling... he said that letters/updates will be sent in the CIC account and I can check them there. Finally... he said that no letter has been sent in the past few days so I have not missed anything... My CIC status is the actual status...

Welcome to the Zoo. Everyone is in the same boat, pulling their hair off. There are many many applicants waiting with no update who have received AOR even before you. And to answer your qn, NO processing time depends on many factors and VO plays a very small role in it.

Similar timeline with me too (AOR May 19th). I got the same updates myself when I called up cic. The agency who has to do my background check has to complete it and get back to CIC with an update. Eligibility passed here too. They said I’d get a verdict by November 19th (6 months from my AOR).
