same timeline. AoR 23rd May. Stuck in IP1. Called the agent, they said eligibility recommended pass and background check not started. GCMS notes ordered recently.

if your background check status says 'we will inform you once we start your background check' its IP1
if it says 'your background check is in progress....' its IP2

Got the AOR on May 2, 2018. Medical was passed on May 11, 2018. No update since then. It has been more than 3 months since AOR. How long does it take to get approval for PR? Could you please suggest timeline for next steps?
Since I am new to this forum, kindly let me know how can I use this forum more effectively.

My Application status as of today:
Review of eligibility - We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results - You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents - We do not need additional documents.
Interview - You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics - We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check - We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision - Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Does this mean that I am in IP2?

I am also from India and sailing in the same boat. Still waiting for the golden mail. Got AOR on 3rd May 2018 , Medical passed on 12th Mat 2018 and IP2 on 28th June 2018 but since then no progress.

It will be approved until they send u back your passport

My timeline is mentioned below:
ITA - April 25th
AOR - May 10th
Medical Passed - May 20th
IP2 - UNKNOWN (I directly received the PPR email without the status update)
PPR - August 3rd
