Would like to know time required once application enters IP2 stage. And what’s covered in IP2. Please share insights.

My timeline:
AOR- 7TH MAY
IP1- 17TH MAY
IP2- 16TH JULY
PPR-- WAITING

I received my ITA on April 25, CEC Inland, AOR - 23rd May, MEP - 25th May. Me and my wife applied together. I am the primary applicant currently working in Canada and my wife is in India. My current status is as given below:

Review of Eligibility:- We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirement
Review of additional documents:- We don't need additional documents
Background Check:- Your application is in progress . We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Final Decision:- Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Could someone please guide me on the current stage of my application?

Also, if someone knows about anyone who recently applied together with wife under CEC. Similar situation wife in India and husband in Canada. How much time did it take for ppr? I wanted to get a rough idea although I know that each case is different.

IP2 means that eligibility is passed, right? When should I expect PPR? please, advise.

Yes IP2 started ojce eligibility, security and criminality is done. IP2 is last stage before PPR. Few people remains in IP2 for few days and few for months. Hopefully you will get your PPR soon.

IP2 is about background checks of your academic, work related documents. If all the required documents are in place then most of time they do not call your employer, university etc. for verification.

My AOR is 26th may, med passed and ip1 since 6th June.

FSW-O, no idea about visa office- have not checked. don't remember the NOC code but it is admin assistant.
So, if eligibility, security and criminality is checked already, what are they checking at IP2?
