How do you know background check is not started? If you are telling just by looking at cic account, you can never tell.
Order gcms notes or call agent.

sounds like optimistic reply, thanks.

I could see that other people from the forum can see the status changes in cic account, but yeah, I agree with you - its not precise source of information.

Call agent - you meant just usual standard help line - and if successful - to ask about my application number?

Yes but do ask specific questions
1. Eligibility status, if recommended passed or fully passed.
2. Background started or not

111 days since AOR, currently IP2 and RPRF not paid yet, is it true that when you don't pay all fees in advance, the process may take more time ? also is it true that the background check is longer if you provide more then 1 PCC, in my case 2 ?

Neither of the statements are true.
Thanks @hope2018 , you are giving me some hope, i send an email to CIC they answer but didn't say much " We verified the information provided and can confirm that your application is still in process. While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible."

As long as within 6 months timeline, nothing to worry, order gcms notes if you want to know in detail.

Yes coz you have applied for bridging and waiting for its decision. See this
Extend your work permit – Bridging open work permit
This type of work permit lets you keep working while you wait for the results of your permanent residence application.

You may be eligible for a bridging open work permit if:

  • you applied for permanent residence
  • your current work permit expires in 4 months or less
  • you have valid status on your work permit
  • you are currently in Canada

Hi All,

I called CIC to know abt the status of my application.
Looks like I am still in IP1 stage.

AOR: May 18th
FSW-O
Indian but,
Applied from US

She told me
1) Medicals passed
2) No additional documents were requested.
3) Eligibility still in progress
4) Background check still didnot start
5) Wait till Nov 18th for your 6 months processing window
6) your file is in Ottawa

It's pretty much the same what she told me,
as shown in online status.

Just one extra info that my case is in Ottawa office.

What's your NOC ?
