Got my visa yesterday!

Applied Jan 25th through CiC online from within Canada. Changing from IEC to Student visa.

I applied on Jan 24th and got rejected on Feb 6th. Reapplying this week.

what was the reason for rejection ??

I didn't have any results yet. I applied last January 31st. The estimated weeks will be 8 weeks in total, is it really this long to wait? May 2017 intake here.

Hey All,

I found the Facebook page for the Consulate in Los Angeles. They post more accurate processing times on this page compared to whats on the CIC Website.

They are currently processing study permits applied online in Mid January, I'm assuming now they are closer to end of January since they have approved "Thom1991" who applied on the 25th of January.

I also applied 25th Jan and nothing heard yet. Called them yesterday and they told me they are working on applications submited 18th Jan

They only have info about the permits they process in this office in LA. I do know some of the other consulates also have some FB pages, but not all of them.

I applied from within Canada, there is number on CIC website. You can call only from within Canada.

Applied on Feb 10th. Haven't heard anything yet. I have an immigration councillor handling my application. Hoping I'll get a response this week.

Hey Thom,

I'm curios to know about the visa stamping process after approval.

Did they request you send your passport to them? If yes, was there a new visa on the passport stating - S1 Student or something along the lines?

Any info would be really helpful.
