Thanks for this info. Did they check all your stamps on passport or you mentioned on residence calculator ? thanks[/

They had my travel dates I think from CBSA , I saw two dates have crossed mark in front of them so they checked those. She also took my passports for photo copy.

Can someone please update the spreadsheet, my status has been changed to "decision made"

I passed the test 19/20. But Officer didnt like couple of things on my passport. Specially H1b Stamping mismatch and couple of dates she wants me to exaplain. Overall, officer was not happy and told me that we will investigate further. I asked how much time , it will take, she told me it can take up to 1 year. It was not a good interview for me. I was in usa since 2004 to 2013. I hope that they dont take 1 year to response for auth.

Hi. thats not good to hear. Buddy you should have sorted out this before going there. Who was interviewer ? The white lady or Asian dude ? Probably you will get RQ now. You can order your GCMS later on to see whats going on. Good luck

Interview was not white lady nor asian due. I have varified entry for every passport stamp. It seems like she was confuse with USA visa status. Now they will call US authority and ask for exaplanation which can take usually long time according to her. Well it was just my bad luck after all. Let's see what happen until Chrismas. I will keep calling once a month after Christmas.

Did you have your H1B status valid after you became a PR? Did you have a H1B status in the last four years?

H1B expired but it was extended. She was looking for extened H1b passport stamp. Now here is the catch. To get the stamp, I have to leave the country and go for interview. They stamp there. I can continue to carry on working without leaving USA. I chose not to leave the country so my passport does not have new 3 year H1B stamping on it. I had I94 extended with me. I gave it to her as prof but she was not convience.
It was just my bad luck. Any other officer could just let it pass. :)

Exactly. She was not convience that i stayed in canada for long enough. :)
Because of my H1 visa and my frequent visit to USA, she might had a small question mark in her mind. I hold B1/B2 visa for my visit.
I try to exaplain the scenario but it hadnt went well with her, so i stopped my arguments.
Here is things I was trying to tell her
(1) I surrended my H1b when I came here on PR. There are no documents USA authority will give on surrendering the H1B on border. They took my original I94.
(2) I was not illegal in USA because it is hard to be illegal on H1B.
(3) You can have only one Visa at a time, if i have B1/B2 visa then how can I have H1B visa ?

She responded rudely that It was her duty to verify everything and if you stayed enough in Canada.

How about any plane tickets as proof?

They should already have pulled out the CBSA report. I don't know why they are not convinced that you don't have the days that you needed here. The CBSA report should give your number of days that you spent in Canada. But I know in cases where they see if one had work visas in the US, they send out questionnaires. Hope this gets sorted out for you.
