You and I are in the same situation. I almost typed "we're in the same boat", but I don't know if you're famililar with that expression :)

I'm checking every day, and there's nothing to do but wait.

Another person who applied at the same time as you just received their passport request from Delhi Visa Office.
I think you should be soon, and I should be soon too.

Hi,
I applied for Sponsorship of my husband and 2 children on May 25th with old medicals which expired in August.

I received re-medicals on 21 December 2016.But received re-medicals only for my husband and my younger son.

I called CIC yesterday and about this and the agent said that the email was generated for 3 persons but it was not sent for one of them. She asked me to wait for 5 days and give a call if i dont get the mail. She also said that it will take an other 20 days to process from then

What do I do now.I want to do medicals for all 3 of them together. How do I get in touch with CIC

I have a question guys: - If the background check is in progress, is that mean they received and confirmed a rfpr, yet?

Just a quick update about the end of our process. The final part went smoothly compared to the DM to PPR part. We received our COPR in the mail about two weeks ago Friday, and directly drove to the land border. The border guards were stern and serious at first, but at the end she said, "Congratulations!" and smiled. It took about an hour because we went in the late afternoon.

If you're driving to a land border, they seem to prefer if you go earlier in the day. My wife signed some papers and answered some simple questions and the officer signed the COPR and told us the PR card will come in a few weeks. I hope not 3 months..

Anyway, thank you so much for the information shared on this forum. Without it, I'd still be waiting for my lost PPR and would have been completely lost in this crazy process. I hope you all can be with your loved one(s) soon and that you have a wonderful Christmas!

What documents did they ask you at the border.. i know u need your copr, passort, your current permit or trv and anything else? I heard they can ask photo ID as well for address proof?

In general they would do a background check as the last part of eligibility process.
Unless your file is complete usually they won't run the BGC.
Which means your fees are paid and accepted.
Hope this helps.

My wife is from a visa-exempt country, so she only needed to bring the COPR, passport (visitor's visa or ETA inside). They just checked my license which they used to confirm her address. I guess you could also just bring in a electric bill or rental agreement. But a spouse's driver's license sufficed for us.

What's a TRV?
