Thank you God :)

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU Hopefull Lady
I am very happy for you and your husband.

I watch for your posts as a guide to whether our application is on track with others who are similar.
We are in Paris VO too, and my husband is from Algeria. I believe your husband is from Tunisia.
Our application date is May 13.

I am happy for your good news, and also it gives me hope that we might expect good news soon.

CONGRATS again.

URGENT HELP NEEDED PLEASE.

My husband was approved to sponsor me around a month ago and everything amended on ECAS, however 2 weeks ago we had an email saying they are refunding us $75- no reason as to why. Today I have just logged onto ecas and it now just says they received the application nothing about him being approved?

We paid $550 fees in total.

Please help, we are so confused and upset!

Nobody to help or speak to!

Thanks!

Maybe you should try contacting the Call Center to ask about the return of $75. I'll include the phone # below and the times.
They can be difficult to reach, sometimes the line is busy for long periods. You can try calling as soon as the lines open,
which is 8am local time, wherever you are in Canada. The number is only valid inside Canada.

Telephone number: 1-888-242-2100 (only from within Canada)
Automated telephone service (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
If you have a touch-tone telephone, you can listen to pre-recorded information about IRCC programs, and check the status of your application.
Call Centre agents - Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., your local time, except for statutory holidays. Services are available in French and English.

Ecas seems to be broken for a lot of people right now. More info here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/ecas-information-dissapeared-t464004.0.html

It seems they tried to fix it in between but it went back to being broken.

You should link your app to MyCIC.

I looked up the fees just now and it showed $75. for the Sponsor and $475. for the Applicant, so it would appear to me that $550 is correct.

We paid the full $1040. up front so as not to delay later.

A case inquiry can also be made online. I think it takes a long-ish time to get a reply, but there is a contact for that:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp

I would use that online form, the one where it says - application past due date, report a technical issue, etc. - THey don't list your specific circumstance but that's the only other way I know of where you can make an inquiry.
