I filled for my wife's application on May 3rd, and the following is processing timeline:

App. Filed.......: May 3rd, 2016
AOR Received.: May 20th
Sponsor approval: July 12th
File Transfer...: July 12th (V/O acknowledged it July 18th)
Med's Done....: February 23rd
Minor document requested: November 3rd
Passport requested: November 25th
Passport sent: November 29th

Straightforward, I guess. We also never bothered with them with any questions nor did we order any notes.

Hey guys!!!! So I just logged into my account after a week or so trying to be patient and not checking it and my ECAS account says Decision Made but when I click on it it offers no new information. I logged into the MY CIC account and it still says background check in progress and final decision not started. Does anybody have any experience with this?? Does it take a while for the my cic one to catch up?? I am not going to be able to sleep tonight now!!!!! AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!

Hey there, which country are you applying from, is it visa exempt? from what I've seen in the Manila/Singapore threads, mycic flips to closed/approved on the same day they stamp your passport with the visa. For me, that was about a week after I got PPR/decision made on ECAS. Nearly there man!! Congrats and best of luck!!

You should get PPR anytime now!
My ECAS changed to DM the day I got PPR and My CIC still shows the same as yours. I sent my husband's passport 2 weeks ago and we are hoping to get it back soon!

OK so now I have been requested to send in copies of my passport and new photos!! I just sent them this afternoon. Pretty stoked to finally see some light at the end of this tunnel. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes on average for this stage to be done?? I really hope it won't be too much longer!!

My friends , i would like to congratulate all of you who had recieved their PRs, unforunately we are stuck currently with no response from ABU dhabi VO, our file transfer is dated July 14th, and ECAS shows no update and we cant access MYCIC because we hired a legal firm. We are very fraustrated and depressed at the moment i guess weve reached the peak of our patience. I had heard that this VO has a lower rate of approval and kinda of slective when it comes to certain nationalities, is that true ?

Have you tried contacting your MP's office directly, not through your lawyer, and request they make an inquiry for you on the status of your application?
Most MP's offices will do this and give you a better idea of where your application is.

Even if the waiting time is not over yet ? Abu Dhabi VO waiting time is 13 months we are currently at 5 months waiting time

I had the MP look into my file after 6 months. I also emailed the VO and got a response within days telling me what stage my application was at.
