How does your relationship profile look?

How much of what proofs did you send with the app?

We have age difference and cultural difference. I probably should have tried to include more examples of communication.
But overall we feel we have a good application, in this visits to Canada we've lived together over 1 year in total at the same address,
last year was over 6 months of that. We're legally married 4 years, and he came to Canada every year for 2 months, and last year for 6 months.
We provided letters of support, and over 100 pics from 4 years.

He says he feels it will be okay. I tell him we must read and research and be prepared.

How much age difference and who is older?

Seems like a solid profile..

I felt the same way as you (that I should have given more of an explanation about this), as I am pretty sure we will be called in for an interview as well. :-X
There is age & cultural differences as well in our relationship. We also included a few letters of support, but not many pictures together (since I hate my picture taken). And also we didn't have an actual proper 'engagement' or 'wedding'.

Good Luck to you.

I am 18 years older than him. He is the applicant, I am the sponsor.

That would be the reason I'm sure.

What's the country?

CIC tends to unfairly flag apps where the woman is older and if it is out of the social norm for a large age gap where the woman is older
it is unfortunately going to be cause for concern.

Did you address the age difference in the app?

We did acknowledge the age difference and tried to show it is not a problem for us, that we live a life style which agrees with both of us.
We spend all out time together when he is in Canada. He doesn't pursue independent interests without me. Our time is planned together.
There are many photos.
I hope they will see our situation is genuine when they hear it from him in his own voice. I don't know what else to do to offer proof.

Hi BethanyM! Good luck on your interview. Pls. keep us posted.

Speaking of redflags, my wife and my mother along with my two little brothers all live in the same city (back home). My mother and two little brothers have been living there for two years now (btw they are all canadian except of course my wife). Do you think this could be a concern for the VO? And no we dont practice arrange marriages in our country.

I met my wife (may 2015) while i was visiting my mother. I came back to marry her in Sept, stayed with her till october (2 full months). I came back to see her in march. The purpose of my 2nd trip was to fly with her to Ethiopia where she had to undergo her medical exam. We are both from the same country, share same religion & culture, and I'm 5 years older than her.

I think you should be fine.

If it was all her family who was PR or citizen except her, that would be a big flag.

I'm not sure what they will think of such a short courtship then. But I do know most of your family being involved is good and same background helps. I feel like I did the right thing by staying with her for a while after our wedding and visited her again. Hope it will help my case :P
