Application Received: May 12th
AOR1: June 2nd
SA: July 7th

ECAS was updated today stating our application is now In Process, and started processing July 11th. No AOR2, but it looks like CPC Ottawa doesn't always send them.

Hoping more SAs start showing up!

Got SA mail finally :) :). Got it through post mail today, as I never received any email. Application received 11 May 2016, SA date 07 July 2016.

Hi All,

Could someone Impart some knowledge on following:

- What is GCMC notes ?
- How it helps ?
- When is the a good time to apply it (like after SA, after AOR2 etc.)

I have read few times people quoting here that they request GCMC notes to see what direction their file is moving (Staright-forward or other way around etc.).

How they figure out if its straight forward or little tricky ?

Thanks in advance

GCMS notes is a document from CIC where you can track the case notes of the visa officer handling your application. It will also give you an idea about your progress and current stage. Example: eligibility passed.

It depends what you want to know. Some people order it when they are passed the SA processing time and yet they haven't got SA. Some people order it few months after AOR2. It totally depends on you when do you want to check your application. It is recommended to have "few months" interval before ordering your next GCMS to see more progress.

You can check on this thread for more info: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/gcms-notes-well-explained-has-never-before-until-now-t390292.0.html

Hi, for those who already got SA, will ECAS update about sponsorship approval?

thanks

What kind of update?

My (sponsor) ecas still says IN PROCESS (started processing) but my husband (applicant) already got AOR2. On my husband side, it change to "received your application" when we got SA.

I don't know, but maybe things like "you have been approved as a sponsor and your application is transferred to xx VISA office"
I know this probably shows in SA mail/email, but I have never received any and was only told by phone agent verbally that I'm approved as SA. I just need some sort of written confirmation.

That will never change. I've already landed and the sponsor's side says "in process". I wouldn't worry about it.

No, that kind of information doesn't show in ecas. Once you've seen on the applicant side "application received", that's SA sign. When did you confirm your SA?

My ECAs (sponsor) still shows "In Process" while my husbands is "Decision Made" and the application is approved and we have the CoPR...

Our status still showed "In Process" after we got the email indicating Sponsor Approval. Wouldn't worry too much about it.

Not immediately! My husband's ecas shows "application received" even we pass SA already. It went to "In Process" approximately after 2 weeks from SA.

I guess at your stage it doesn't matter what country you came from because the only one being assess is the sponsor which is a PR or Canadian. CIC normally sends 2 emails/mails to the sponsor - Acknowledgment of Receipt and Sponsorship Approval. Call CIC and ask for your status because you are way pass the processing time for SA.
