HI Everyone,

My Stats:
Submitted Application: May 4th
AOR #1: May 20th
SA Approval: June 30th
ECAS: [PA Only]: "Application Recieved"

Question: In the SA Email CIC states: "Application has been forwarded to the VO for processing." They did not state an exact Date as to when the application was forwarded. What is the procedure now? As on ECAS: No information has been updated. Stiil reads: PA: "Application Recieved".

Should we assume that the PA part of the application is now in process, as of the Date i recieved the SA Email: June 30th?
OR...should we WAIT until i recieve an AOR #2 from VO? Does this AOR #2 Email, constitute the most accurate Date as to WHEN the processing actual begins?

Thanks.

it is generally assumed the application is transferred the same day the sponsor is approved. no, you can't assume that the principal application is currently "in process". this does not happen right away, and most people wait months for the application to go "in process". the file was transferred to the visa office and put in queue for processing, that is all that means. you may or you may not get an AOR2 (not every visa office sends them, and the ones that do may not be consistent). Not getting an AOR doesn't mean anything's wrong with the file. it just means you didn't get an AOR2. An AOR2 also does not suggest the application is "in process", again it only suggests the application was received and is in queue waiting for processing.

OK...... Thanks for that information. Very helpful.

Just one other query: Given this, when would be the right time.....to contact CIC by email.

FOR: My Spouse answered ALL the questions relevant to our situation on her Form #5490.
Regarding Questions #14, 15 and 18, her answers to these 3 questions were in 2 separate parts, because part of her answer [to all 3 questions], were the same. She intended to place these second parts [to #14, 15, 18] to the back of all the Answer Sheets attached to Form #5490. However, she may have forgotten to include a page of these "second parts", but she is not one hundred per cent sure. As these 'second parts' have quite important information to the application, we want to Email CIC these parts again, just to ERR on the side of caution.

When is the right time to Email CIC additional information, especially if...we don't recieve an AOR #2?
OR do we have to wait until they request so? However, what if they don't request any??

Thanks.

A question is can I leave Canada (I am permanent resident) during spousal sponsorship application. I want visit my wife for a month or two while they are reviewing our application. Somewhere on the internet I read that the application would be denied in case the permanent resident leaves Canada. Is it really true?
Thanks

I don't believe a May one has been started...

Hello. My fiancé is an American. We are applying next month. Applying Outland. I am worried that we will not get the fingerprint check back for in time with the his possible Canada Post strike looming. Would love to get updates about how long you application took/ is taking.

Thank you.

AOR 2 received today via email by my husband who is in Manila. Time to submit his missing document.
