Applied on 25th May but not AOR1 yet. However, hopeful to get it by the end of this week. If not, by the end of next week. If that too not, by the end of a couple of weeks. Hopeful, hopeful, hopeful....Cheers

Yup you might get aor 1 jun third week i guess.its waiting game .anyways bestof luck .......

I just got an email today and it said that I've been approved as a sponsor! It also said my application has been sent to Ottawa because of the country my sponsored relative resides in. I applied from Korea so I thought it'd be sent for processing in Manila and take 13 months. I guess the government is cleaning up the backlog. Good luck!

Timeline:

App rec'd: May 5
AOR 1: May 21
SA: June 13

Thanks, Crezana! I didn't expect it to be transferred to Ottawa. I thought only applications from the US or similar would be sent to Ottawa, according to the 2016 Spreadsheet. Hopefully more May applications will be sent to Ottawa, eh?

My Timeline:

Application received : May 20,2016
AOR Received : June 8,2016

Now I'm waiting for SA.

I think you'll get it soon, depending on your relative's (whom you're sponsoring) country. My application was 15 days ahead of yours and I got my SA yesterday.

They send you an email with a pdf letter attached. Wait for it!

So in this case your sponsored relative is your spouse, right? Also is ur spouse in Canada right now? if yes, on what status? Also does Korea need Visa to travel to Canada? Some people in other thread said that mostly applications from Visa free countries are transferred to Ottawa VO even though they applied Outland.
My application date is 11 May and got AOR1 on 31st May. Me and my wife are from India, and Indian citizens need Visa to travel to Canada. But she is here on closed work permit, so I'm not sure if our application goes to India or processed from here in Ottawa!!!!

Yepp - That is AOR1. Congrats bishista !! :)

Application delivered on May 30, 2016 (as per FedEx confirmation) No AOR1. Waiting, and trying to be patient, but SUPER EXCITED at the news that those who had applications in prior to June 13th will be fast tracked, provided the app is in order. Hoping to hear something by this week

It is helping all applicants. They've dedicated 25 million this year toward clearing the backlog and reducing wait times.
I can see that money in action in three areas:
Increasing the capacity of Ottawa VO to accept more files
Overtime made available to VO's as some are sending notifications on Saturday
Improving the online system for checking application status - a step toward improving communication and being accountable to Canadians
