Hi everyone I am a newbie here...need some help please...I am planning to submit my husband's application next month (June2016), but then my husband wants me to go home for 3 months in the Philippines for vacation from Nov-January 2017. My question or concern are these:

1. Will it affect my application if in case I leave Canada for 3 months (need to quit my job, because my employer don't allow me to have 3 months vacation)

2. How long will I get or receive the SA upon submission of application

Lastly, Do I need to have enough money in the bank?is immigration gonna look after my bank account?

Thank you..please need your help

1. Yes, it will especially if you state in your application that you are residing in Canada. However, it's a different case if you are a canadian since you are allowed to sponsor even you're outside Canada.

2. Based on CIC it is 43days but some goes beyond that. I guess, maximum is 60days after CIC received your application.

There is no part in the application that CIC ask for bank accounts. I assume they won't look into that BUT you have to make sure that as a sponsor, you can provide for the basic needs of you and the applicant.

Congratulations on getting the application completed and in the mail. Just getting it finished was a major struggle for me.
If your application is received in Mississauga office on Monday or Tuesday you are still a May applicant. Later and you're in June.
Did you send it with one day service or longer?

I sent it one day. It Will get there Monday. Do they receive it right away? Am I to expect a file number in an email or something?

They usually send AOR1 after 15-20days from the date that it reaches them.

It has been 25 days since they received my application, and no email til now. Its so fustrating to just keep waiting... at least if you are missing something just let them know asap instead of just delaying the application.

Some April applicants still waiting to hear from CIC.

Hello everyone,

So, finally after 2 months, I (sponsored for outland spouse) submitted my application on Friday through Canada Xpresspost (tracking - 0382779001006113) . Hopefully package will get there on time and someone will receive the package by Monday. So I am joining with you guys. Medical and all other docs are included within the application package, So, hopefully I don't wait long enough. Fingers crossed. ;)

Your courier tracking will show which day it was delivered.
That's the date it is received by Immigration.
You won't hear anything for a little while, but your tracking let's you know they received it on that day.

Expect your first email AOR1 about 20 - 25 days after that date. Some have taken a little longer, some shorter.
That email will simply confirm they have your application. It means they are starting the Sponsor's part of the application.
Good Luck
