I became a citizen May 2015. The application now in progress is for my wife. I got ATIP for her file and it shows she has been granted but waiting for Oath to be scheduled.

In regards to the Oath I went to the local office and they made me wait for 2 hours and gave me new certificate saying there was some system glitch. Gave me a fake apology. I told them that I was not worried about my Oath invite as I already have a certificate from CIC, photo proof from the judge on the day of the ceremony and a Canadian passport with which I have traveled some times I asked if they could put my wife in place of mine. She was like sorry I cannot and she has to go through administrative process. The person at the entrance (reception) who clarifies things for applicants or whoever goes to CIC asked me if the officer said cant or wont schedule your wife. He said she is the person who puts people on the list. That lady acted as though it was out of her reach. I'm telling you they will get what they serve. Life has a funny way of teaching people lesson. What you sow is what you reap.

That's some high level incompetence...

Wow that's such a big mistake eh? That could have been your wife's oath invite and they made you wait 2hrs for nothing *smh*

Looking at the Scarborough thread it looks like they are at the last week of September, I'm hoping to her from them within 1-2weeks.

ATIP: Access to Information and Privacy.

Basically, as a person, you have the right to access the information that the government has on you (with certain limits)

https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/

You can order ATIP for your citizenship application. This will gives your (after 30 days) a documents with some information (that you might need to spend some time to "decode" it ) that will highlight the different steps about your application process.

It is usually of no interest to people whom application was following a normal process and still under routine process. People who received at a certain level an RQ (Residency Questionnaire) will find more information when they order their ATIP about their application process.

What is your timeline ?

Well, I applied early May (received May 6th, 2015) and wrote the test on October 21st. (on the May tracker)
It seems the average duration ( test and oath) is around four months for the Vancouver office.
Only one person had it in 41 or 42 days.

I guess, I better stay calm and wait.
Thank you again.

Don't you worry. Montreal is the best/fast office. Those franch officers are not that lazy, compared to the GTA one's

Lol, hope you are right althoug I do not think this is correct (unfortunately for me)... I know some Montreal people who have been waiting for a while before they got their Oath letter... however let's stay positive and optimistic as I am from Montreal :)
