I hope they'll send future emails to your correct email address. I guess the CXXXXXXXXX from AoR isn't your Citizenship File Number as mentioned from e-Cas website, see below.

Citizenship File Number/Group Number

You will find this number on all correspondence (except for the initial acknowledgement letter) mailed to you by the Case Processing Centre in Sydney or by the local Citizenship and Immigration Canada office processing your application. This number is all digits. (Example: 0000000).

Phoned CIC and found out they sent the AOR letter to a wrong email address (what I wrote on the application was correct). Agent said she cannot resend the AOR letter and assured me I'll never need the AOR number. In the end she sent me an email for the links to test study material and that was it.

Yes she corrected the email address for me. But regardless, there won't be anymore notice sent by email anymore no? Just a few changes on the ecas and then if lucky gets straight to test letter and oath letter by physical mail

Based from thecoolguysam he heard that CIC started sending emails for aoth invites so just keep that option open :)

*face palm* I haven't study anything yet -- time to study ???

CIC will always request additional documents in a formal letter by mail. I have heard CIC has started sending emails for oath invites as well.

You should contact cic call centre regarding the confusion regarding Master/Mister to get it corrected.

Are you from India? Usually people use Master/Mister/Shri/Smt etc in front of names in order to give respect.

By the way, what's your timeline?

The Application# CXXXXXXXXX mentioned in the AOR is the actual application number that would be used throughout the citizenship application process even though you can't use that in order to access e-cas. To access ecas you can either use your Client ID or PR card number etc.

Too early to start studying... most of my friends started studying one week before the test date and all got 20/20

I'm not good with names and dates that's why I need to study :/

Amanda, when you sent your application the first time did you get an AoR or CIC just returned it to you asking to re-apply?

Thank you :)

Thank you Oren, congratulations to you too.

I didn't get AOR the first time, CIC just returned my application and asked me to attached some documents on and then send it back. What I noticed is, they stamped a date on the very first page on the application, and they put a check mark on every line where I filled information on the application, and staple everything together.

I guess Ahey Ahey means that put an "a" sound at the end of every sentence, since most Canadians do :P
