All of a sudden from today morning ecas is showing PR status (complete) and Citizenship Status (Received). Anyone with same experience and/or identifed any particular pattern to it.

I started an online application for citizenship in 2008, but decided to against it. Is that application still active and can I re-apply now using the same application, or will I have to restart the process?

Try ecas by using your client Id number if it shows "in process" status then probably you have a chance. If not you have to apply fresh with the new rules and fees.

They would have sent you three notices to take the test and may have closed the application. It never hurts to try if not you can still apply again. If you were eligible in 2008 then you more likely to be eligible now too (under 4/6 1460 days) unless if you had lengthy periods of absence from Canada.

Please for gods sake do not add it to your contact list.
Because the CIC like to give you A surprise And if they see you did add them, they will never ever send you the so desired AOR ;D

You are extremely lucky, applicants with an expied passport are getting AOR Plus great coffee for free all their life[flash=200,200][/flash]
