hey guys my husbands application now says decision has been made... good or bad and what can we possibly expect???

Congratulations, I think it would be safe to assume you are approved and should receive COPR in the post in the next few weeks. Our application is through the LVO as well and we are also on the same time line as you. Gives me hope that we may hear good news soon as well.

anything CIC will send the applicant will be mailed to the mailing address that the applicant listed in the application. if he put his ireland address, that is where it will be sent. if he put a canadian address, it will go there. you will need to confirm which address he put in his application.

HOLY SMOKES!

One day after our status when from "In Process" we are now at "Decision Made"!

So exciting. So now we just have to wait for the letter to arrive by mail? Does anyone know if we can call in to confirm or email?

Thank you!

Hi I'm a July 2014 applicant, ugh going on 9 months of waiting for an "in process" message online. Do you know if they update the site everyday? Also, after you received DM how long did it take for your stuff to arrive in the mail? Congrats!!! I'm sure you've landed by now?

Hi all! I have been reading your posts. I would like you to enlighten me about E-CAS tool. My huband and I were nominated by Manitoba province as skill workers. Our application reached to CIC on June 26, 2014. They gave us our PER on August 28, 2014. Then, we received our medical request on Oct 2, 2014 (Done on Oct 9 and received by VO on Nov, 4, 2014). My E-CAS show two lines:

1) We received your application on June 26, 2014.
2) Medical results have been received

Which could be the next step? I am waiting since then...

Best wishes!

this board is for family class sponsorship, meaning canadian citizens or pr's that are sponsoring their spouse/child to come live in canada. most people on here will not have much knowledge of the PNP program, and it's possible ECAS may work differently for your stream of immigration, and your process/timeline will certainly be different than spousal sponsorship. It is recommended you go to the PNP board on this forum and ask your question there. Best of luck!

Hey everyone! I just found this group so thought I wuold let you know our situation and see how everyone else compares!

My Fiance is a canadian citizen and is sponsoring me as her spouse. She got sponsor approval last August and since then I have had to send CIC details of all the countrues I have visited in the last 10 years as well as getting RCMP fingerprint checks done (I stayed in Canada as a visitor for just over a year.)
The fingerprint checks were completed and sent to Ottawa (Ottawa is the office dealing with our case) in January and after emailing CIC we had confirmation that they were received there in late January.

We have heard nothing since!

So I was wondering if anyone else has a similar story to us and is waiting at the same stage or has been through all this and can let us know what to expect next?

It would be great to hear off anyone with any information!!

Thanks and good luck to everyone...

Anyone here with the same status as mine?

We received your application for permanent residence on May 23, 2014.

We started processing your application on January 22, 2015.

Medical results have been received.

It still says "In process". :o :o :o :o

Don't worry too much about the status...in my opinion it is meaningless and doesn't help. Mine finally just got updated to Decision Made. They also added one extra line saying that they began processing my application on March 18...the day they sent me the email that the decision was made. It is amazing that they can actually process an application in one day! Don't know why they sit on it for some many months if that is the case? :P :o

Kidding aside...word of advise to the people running ECAS...no system is better than a system with incorrect or inaccurate information when it comes to giving people peace of mind!

In december my husband and I were requested to pay the right to residence fee and for myself (the sponsor) to show proof I want to return to Canada, we sent in the info and haven't heard a thing since. That was over 3 months ago. CIC tends to put you application aside and work on others in line if they request things from you. you can order your notes online but otherwise you just have to either call them or wait, they rarely ever update Ecas and they take ages to email anything.

Thanks for your info - Its so frustrating isnt it witing for any news!
You mention about ordering notes online? How do we do that and what info would be get?

Remember, if your spouse is not in Canada as a resident already you have to apply access to information, not privacy act. (it will ask which act several questions in)

I placed the wrong one after people repeatedly telling me that privacy act was fine since I am born and raised canadian (I'm sponsor) however, not the case! I'm requesting notes about my husbands application and had to do the consent form and everything but under access act. So it is $5

I'm a May 2014 Applicant, ECAS indicated In Progress on February 20/15 and nothing since :( Waiting 320 days!! 258 days since sponsor approval. Really starting to feel anxious lately ! I have Notes coming hopefully by the end of the week, would be nice to see some progress in the notes but I'm not going to get my hopes up.
