Hello all!

Two updates:

First, when our application was initially returned to us in error, we sent it back immediately along with a cover letter which indicated we would be CC'ing the Minister of CIC on the correspondence. I did so by email and received an immediate auto-reply saying something along the lines of "We have received your correspondence and someone will get back to you within two weeks however we don't acknowledge complaints, individual claims, etc." So I thought that would go nowhere. HOWEVER! I did receive a reply a MONTH after I sent that email from one of the Minister's aides telling me that they inquired into our case and told CIC to reinstate us at our original application date! I was quite surprised! We received SA on September 8th.

Second, I have been logging into ECAS and our application status for my partner's PR is still "Application Received." I haven't received a confirmation letter that the application has been transfered and received in Ottawa (our VO) yet. Should that still be coming? It's been two and a half weeks since we received SA... Should I inqurie? Do you know if a confirmation email would be coming to me (the sponsor) or my partner (the applicant)? I was hoping that our ECAS status would say "In process."

Hope everyone is well! Thank you!
I'm in the same boat!

I received my COPR today in the mail!!!!!

congrats Trav :D damn it's going very fast for those processed through Ottawa!

omg guys!!! what happened to your spreadsheet!!!!!!

Someone has updated the spreadsheet in a weird way. Instead of being sorted chronologically, it is currently sorted by VO and then by date. I actually prefer this myself, but I'm not sure who might have changed it.

However, one of the bigger problems is that some of the colour codes on the individual names have been changed. Or, at least mine has. I was changed from orange (SA) to purple (DM). I am still only in the SA stage so I changed my colour back, but everyone might want to open it and check that your individual information is accurate.

Do we have any log of who might have done this?

Well the colours now indicate the VO instead of the progress. I think that's why there are VO spreadsheets, for specific cities. It makes more sense to sort chronologically for the month, since it is somehow easy to know what to expect next. But that's just my opinion I'm not a May applicant. I do consult it a lot and have updated it from time to time when people post! It confused me when I saw it but I feel like I have no say in it since I'm not in it haha.

Anyway it's super exciting to see progress in here so good luck to everyone!

Ya, not so thrilled with the new spread sheet

I am so sorry people it was me !

I was updating with my information and then sorted it but did NOT save it. I wanted to compare London applications and it was easier for me to sort by Visa. I also changed colours to help me ! not to change it completely. I didn't realise until today's posts that what I sorted remained on the spreadsheet. Absolutely mortified....I am so, so sorry. Had I of realised it was an automatic save I would never had touched it. Really do not know what to do now ! Other than hang my head in shame :-[

After being behind the eight ball for quite a while our application is really starting to move. Beijing Visa Office.

App Rec'd - May 28
AOR - Aug 11
AOR2 - Sep 26
Applicant "in process" - Sep 30

Maybe follow-ups and/or paying the final PR fee made a difference.
