Hello! I am intending to apply for PR through CEC by mid August as it will be my one year next week in my job (skill b). I have not informed yet employer and I know a reference letter is a requirement. My question is if my employer wont give me a reference letter; can i still apply? Thanks.

Yes you can still apply. Just attach the T4 form along with your application.

Thanks for the reply. Got another question. The T4 that I got was just for the months august to december of 2013. Can't wait for this year's as the program will close in October. Thanks in advance. Ooops... Got another question, how is 1 year qualified? Should it really ne 365 days of work days? How about Christmas breaks and holidays? Thanks!

I have few questions as follows. Can someone here please help me by answering these:

1. I have just received email from CIC regarding AOR. I have not received any physical mail from CIC regarding this. Do they also inform via mail?

2. I applied for myself(principle applicant) and my wife but the AOR email I have received is only mentioning my name, UCI number, file number and the total amount they charged which is $1100 ($550 each). They have not written any details of my wife such as name, UCI number, file number(may be we only have one file number as I am a principle applicant). Please let me know if this is how it should be?

3. I am not able to check my ECAS status by inserting my UCI number or application number. I am trying this since the day(july 8, 2014) I have received my AOR. Is it going to take time to show the status of my application?

No, if you've received the AOR by email, that's all you get.

All good. There's only one file number and you are the PA that's why you details are on the AOR.

Yes, sometimes it takes a little longer for ECAS to update. I can't access my ECAS at all Don't worry about that, give it another week or so. Then you can
always email CIC and ask

Now these days cic communicate bia E- mail, if u are not provided e-mail address then they send hard copy.

As all send there application package to NS I too did the same. How can we know that our application has been forwarded to Ottawa or it is being processed at NS. I have received AOR from Sydney address.

Correct, all CEC applications have to be mailed to the CIO in Sydney and will be transferred to Ottawa for processing.
