Question: When are we able to check the status online?

There seems to be no new CC charges today :(

kayceesin, Im mexican living in Mexico ;D and my husband is applying to sponsor me and my son. You must wait till the Canadian embassy send you a letter asking for the Constancia de Antecedentes Registrales, you cannot go by yourself at the PGR asking for it.
Good luck for all of us and may God help us and give us patience :)

It's official everybody! Immigration is short staffed (hence longer processing times) and they're currently hiring! :P ;) lol

I also note this in the job posting, "Rate of pay could be revised following the collective agreement expiration date on June 21st 2014." Hmm ... !!!

I'm very sure that people who received our files clubbed them with other FSW applications...nothing could've been a worse timing than this :(

Guys,

Do not worry about CEC application process.

They will do their best and provide application PR - result within 13 months.

The question isn't about getting PR in 13 months but for people who're waiting for their AOR to apply for BOWP. They don't have a choice and will have to leave their jobs and the country

You have to come to terms with the fact that CIO might take 45 to 50 days to issue an AOR. Accordingly plan a strategy to get your BOWP. If it doesn't work out accept the fact that you will have to leave Canada for at least 1.5 years. Yes we know it sucks and we sympathize but you're not the first one that this has happened to. At least be grateful for being able to apply. Not a lot of people get what you have.

Be patient and stay positive.

So, for example, they received my application on May 14 and still no cc charged or docs back. Its been 36 days from then.. Should I call them or send them an email on Monday if they don't charge my cc by then?

Same here.. I'm starting to get worried :(

Actually, there is nothing much we can do than wait .. Really.

I have answered this question and advised fellow forum members several times on the same. Please see below -

How to contact the Centralized Intake Office
If you applied to the CIO under the Canadian Experience Class and need information about your case, you may contact the Client Service Unit (CSU). Note that if your application has already been sent to the visa office for processing, the CIO will not be able to help you.

You will not get a reply to your email if:

•you have not already applied under the Canadian Experience Class,
•you are not authorized by the applicant to get their personal information,
you applied within the last six weeks, or
•your question is about a topic other than your case.
Please do not send the same question more than once. You can reach the CSU at CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca.

Courier address
Centralized Intake Office
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, Nova Scotia B1P 5Z2
Canada

Please clearly mark “Canadian Experience Class” on the outside of the envelope or in email subject line.

And lastly, note that in the past CIO has taken around 45 to 50 days to issue AORs and it looks like they're back to that processing times. So you guys will have to accept that fact and deal with it.

Good luck!

P.S. - I am taking a break from this forum now. There's far too much anxiety and negativity here now. It's not good for me :P

and on a positive note the processing times for work permits online are very fast - 14 days (new employer)
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp.asp

And I have read the cases on this forum when ppl have received BOWP without AOR .. So if you expect AOR(or are hoping and praying to get it asap lol) within next couple of days and your current work permit is expiring, start working on your application for BOWP not to lose any more time and to be able to apply for it as soon as you get an AOR.
Below is the forum with tips for successful BOWP application

Good luck to everyone still waiting for their CC to be charged and for AORs !! ;D
