You should talk to the Docter and confirm if she needs more time to complete the assessment or she can finish it immediately.
If more time is required by doctor then inform CIC about it, may be get a letter from the doctor and forward it to CIC

after RPRF later in the evening received medical request for spouse.

I replied back with the medical which she did for her work permit application as it was just 5 months old.
Lets see what CIC reply

It has been 8 days i have not received a reply from CIC, any suggestion what i can do

I am an April applicant and my E cas status change last weak adding three more sentences like,

We received your application for permanent residence on April , 2014.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on May , 2014.
We started processing your application on May , 2014.
We sent you correspondence on May , 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

The same day I got an email for medical request for my wife. Which I send the one she did for work permit but sending via email, i did not get the auto acknowledgement email. I also send it via surface mail. I did for my self an upfront medical and pay the RPRF as well in July 2015. My question is that why they ask me medical again for my wife while I submit it with the document when I was adding her to my application. Her medical is 5 month old only at the moment.

When I should expect a passport request..

last week end, It was not second time it was first time. As the first time they did not ask but I submit with the documents.

same with me, i received request on 23rd sep for my wife which she had done before. So i again emailed CIC but haven't received a reply yet, any suggestion what i can do

Send them Via a surface mail as well. Always mention an application number on the subject line of your email. Goodluck

But you did send by surface mail but still received medical request for your wife, not sure if surface mail helps.
In my GCMS notes the email i sent to CIC of informing medical for my wife in 7th may , is there but looks like no one looks at such email unless the person who upload such information to file leaves a note mentioning officer review.There was no such notes for which i believe they sent medical request for my wife on 23rd sep.

MAY 30TH APPLICANT HERE:

Just phoned up the contact center again for a check up, I noticed one or two in other threads said they had called to be told "security is now complete" when there ECAS was still in process. We're due to go on vacation in two weeks... So I was hoping something might have changed.

NOPE!....... Same old same old "we are still awaiting background checks for your application, they should be complete by MID DECEMBER at the latest, if you don't hear anything back by then, call us again".

The long, painful wait continues, BOWP is still not in either (May 31st we applied).

If anyone gets any further updates, feel free to let us know!
