Can you kindly advise when did they start " processing your application "? Mine says they started processing on Feb.24th but no RFRP OR PPR yet

Hi Katie26, it started in Jan 13. Seamed to move pretty fast until they requested RCMP for my spouse... then radio silence for over a month

Congratulations on the PPR. It is interesting though, that how you applied towards the end of May and have received the PPR while there are many in the first half of May and plenty in April that are still waiting. I guess either some applications are simpler than the others or perhaps it depends on the workload/speed of the visa officer that reviews your file.

I had hoped that since we are the last of the batch under the system before Express Entry, they would be in the rush to get us out of the queue and focus on the new system. And it did seem like at the end of last year, that they were trying to speed up everything. Except that it seems they are processing the FSW applications much faster than us. Perhaps they think with the BOWP we are in a better situation than the FSW applicants.

Anyway, just some random musings from me. Not much of quantifiable value.

Id on sheet :TDMorris.To update the new sheet properly my meds were requested DEc 4th and they were done Dec 15.ecas status changed to med received January 23rd.
From the whole process of applying for Pr ,to getting AOR ,medical request and ECAS update I must say every time I call or email CIC even when it had not reached the processing time,I always see a change in progress the next day.Dont know if it coincidence or they tired of me ...lol ;D

Seniors...

What are your thoughts? Would it be ok to call or send them an email with regards to our application? I havent called CIC since i applied and asked about my PR application. As i have read through our thread some of our friends here called and after that their ECAS changed or there is some movement.

Got a hold of CIC - they are still doing the background checks on my application.. Medical is passed i guess..
The waiting game is the worst :'(

how come you come to know that they started your application on 24 Feb...did u asked them....

do comment what did u asked and what did they said...as I am in the same boat and they never said to me with the date...

I guess the background check started when we got MR.
