Never pa naman nakaapak ng Canada yang mga nagka-conduct ng PDOS seminar. ;D

that's what i thought too! and they were informed also sa PDOS that an international drivers license is valid sa canada, but i let my husband asked the transportation office who are issuing the license if i need an int. drivers lic, sabi nila they are not accepting IDL.

Pwede mo magamit ung international Driver's license mo for one year but you will still have to take the drivers test here. ang advantage lang if meron ka nang international driver's license is after mo magtake ng written exam, you wont have to wait for 1 year to take the road test. Pwede rin naman ung Philippine License mo for 3 months kaso nga lang ang mahal ng insurance. kaya mas better if kumuha ka nang IDL para hindi ka na magantay ng 1 year.

Nope. No need to wait... at least not here in Winnipeg. Hindi rin needed ang history.

May idea ba kayo kung needed magpa appointment if mag-i-inquire in person about sa status ng application?

Various provinces have different laws concerning using your license in Canada. My cousin who recently immigrated as a landed immigrant had to take his g1 license to drive. He gets reprieved from the mandatory 8-12 months wait for a g2 license because of his Philippine license but he still needs to do the graduating license process (i.e G1- G2, G)

Other provinces may have different laws regarding driving as this jurisdiction is governed provincially and not federally

PPR magparamdam ka naman. 8 months na pero nasa stage 1 pa lang yung papers ko haha

Most of these laws regarding drivers licenses in Canada are similar when it comes to foreign license holders. You will need to get a drivers license eventually for which ever province you are going to land in.
