Yes, that seems to be the one. How do I put my name on it?

Ask einahpets85 either here or in PM with your details.

Hi all I sent my app on april 25 reached mississauga april 26th 2013
I did not get any aor but when I called in cic today they said you are approved for sponsorship approval on 22nd may ,immigration will send you mail

I am happy that I got approval but on the other hand Its weired no email no mail so far for anything

did this happene to anyone else ?

can anyone tell when my file is going to tranfer ?

CIC sends approval either by email ( then you get it right away) or by snail mail - takes a couple of days to reach you. So - if you're approved, no need to worry. Your file will be transferred in the next week most likely, and then it's more waiting.

Hi Torontosam

I have sent my Application on 1st May but still did not get any AOR, Should I Call them,

Thanks,
Vicky

it's too early to call. Imagine: if every applicant calls within 2 weeks of sending their application, it becomes unmanageable. You should only call if the CIC website says that they are working past the date your application was received. Here is the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp
it changes every wednesday/thursday morning. As long as it doesn't say 2nd May ( or whenever your application was received), there is no reason to call.

Like Torontosam said, I am interested too in what the next steps will be. Will they contact us by e-mail or by mail? If AOR is the Acknowledgement of Receipt - is that my tracking number and when they actually sign for the package? or is it something official from the Immigration?

Thank you!

Thaliada

AOR is by email. Sponsor approval is either by email, or snail mail. AOR is not systematic, some people get one, others don't. For now, you can only know that they have received your application if you used a tracking number when you sent it.
If you get an AOR, you will have a file number that you can use online on ecas. If not, then you will get the file number with the sponsor approval.

Oh yes, that's a good question. Whom do they communicate with? the sponsor or the sponsored person?

Thaliada

first stage communications go to the sponsor, and second stage communication (ppr, request for more info etc) go to the sponsored person/applicant. most of the time by email, but can also be by snail mail, it depends on the VO.
Of course : if you have a representative, then all communications will go to him/her. It can also be cancelled at any point during the process if you change your mind.

she can pay online. On the receipt, she should put her name ( the name on the card) but make sure to add a note to link it to your application : name of the sponsor and name of the applicant, so CIC can link it to your application.
