I got my citizenship oath scheduled for July 15. I called the CIC call centre today and the agent gave me the news. I haven't received the letter, but he mentioned the letter was posted yesterday.

I took my oath yesterday. The ceremony itself was pretty similar to what has already been described on this forum. The feeling was amazing. All-in-all it took about 1.5 hours and an official told us we should wait for three business days before applying for a passport (a little longer than I thought, but I am in no rush now; my Ecas has not yet been updated). They encourage you to apply for Canadian cultural pass that allows you to visit museums and national parks as well as gives you 50% off one round -trip on a train in Canada. If you do live in BC or Alberta, you can also immediately register with BC or Alberta elections electronically. These organisations share voter information with Elections Canada eventually/ In other provinces, I believe, you have to fill out a paper application and mail it to Elections Canada.
