Mailed application - 8 May 13
Application received by CIC - 9 May 13
Sent acknowledgement letter - 9 May 13
Started processing application - 22 July 13

not true, April applicants are still waiting for the acknowledgement letters.

Here is my information:
I mailed my application in March, they resent it to me(end of April) saying my picture was incorrect(even though it was), so I had to retake it and mailed it back in May

"We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on May 6, 2013.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on May 6, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on July 19, 2013."

I've been in and out of the country over 6 times for weddings/vacation/work - I would be very surprised if I don't get an RQ from them.

Always hope for the best. On the other hand, start gathering proofs of residences during 1095 days .

I am still waiting nervously for acknowledgement letter (application pkg received on 27 May, 2013). i am not sure if they are gonna accept my english credential. actually i submitted a post graduate diploma which was taught in english (outside of canada) along with written explanation. in addition to that i also attached my contract letter from employer, which cleary states my responsibility as supervising students and technicians, writing research articles, etc.

PS: when i applied for PR, i also gave them written explanation and reference letters describing my english capability.
