As per my sponsor, you will only declare your money if it's more than US$10,000.00 or equivalent. They will usually not ask for show money since you have your visa with you. Correct me if i'm wrong for the seniors here.Katey28 said:Hi everyone, Iam new here i want to know if the service officer will ask the required show money at the crossed border?

The required show money is only during your application. If you have your LOA, usually they will not ask it again and no need to worry how much money when you enter Canada. Just don't failed to declare if it's beyond the limit.Katey28 said:.
Thanks for your reply.. I'm just curious when they check the required show money? How will they know that you have that amount? Just during the process of the application in MPNP? Once you have the LOA it doesn't matter how much the money you have when you go to Canada?
Forza2013 is right about immigration related requirement is fulfilled during the application and you do not have to prove anything later. But in general many countries have their rules to carry amount of cash or valuables during entering the country. Canada states that if you are carrying more than $10,000 then you should declare otherwise if they find out - you might be fined from $250 to $5000. Here is the complete article if you want to have a look - http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/pub/bsf5052-eng.html.Forza2013 said:The required show money is only during your application.
