Hi Stephen

yung naka lagay sa website 19,900x 2 lang Php 39,800
tapos I dropped the envelope containing the letter (email) advise with information sa Canadian Embassy drop box sa RCBC bldg Makati. Make sure may UCI number Name at address mo. Nakita ko rin yung thread mo na nag tatanong ng MC or bank draft I think better nga kung MC kasi local lang ang clearing nito.

Pag bank draft kasi ang payee Receiver General for Canada na ipapa dala pa yun sa Canada tapos pag dineposit nila yun iintayin pa nila mag clear yun kaya matagal.
Thank you sa reply providence.

Thank God, kakareceived lang namin ng MR kanina, baka nga po mag manager's check nalang kami. Kanina dumaan ako sa BDO para kumuha ng form for manager's check, i finalized namin ni misis yung mga dapat gawin mamaya.

Anung klase envelope pala ung ginamit nio? Short brown envelope or yung regular na white mail envelope?

Sabi din sa BDO 3 days lang ung clearing nung check. Sana maging ok ang lahat. I will keep you posted :)

Thank God again :)

Yes. I haven't heard that bank draft took really, really long to be negotiated. That is why my status is not moving til now. :( It's really depressing especially now that I really want to resign from my present job.

Note to everyone, do not use bank draft for your RPRF payment. I

I believe the clearing is 1 month for bank draft and I believe tama si providence dadalhin pa sa Canada un kasi kaya naka address sa Receiver General for Canada(not sure though parang nabalitaan ko lang din). Ung iba kasi natatakot gumamit ng MC kasi sa fluctuation kasi nga peso ung ibabayad not C$. Iniisip ko naman kasi if the email requested for RPRF na pede MC with the certain amount then dapat pede.

Ilang days naba since nasend mo yung bank draft mo? Kanino mo nifofollow-up? Sana maging ok nadin ung sayo janesmith.

I used the BDO envelope the manager's check was in I squeezed it all in hahaah!
Print the email letter for the MR since it indicates that you are requested to pay your RPRF there and dun din nakalagay ang mga details mo (UCI/File number)

Write those details too including your phone number/ address & File number (yata) and drop it off sa RCBC dropbox ng Canadian Embassy.

Ang funny kasi sa drop box area ng Embassy sa parking lot lang ng RCBC tower ang dilim!
yung window nung pumunta ako naka sara pa tapos may naka plaster na message :"we do not entertain questions here" so I wrote what I thought was enough info - my uci number and name and slipped it in the box - pag talikod ko sa likod ng isang madilim na area may table at details of what to put on the envelope grrrrr....

Buti nalang I put the letter inside with all the complete docs haaay...

Hey where will you be landing in Canada? My family and I will be in Winnipeg :)

Thank you po sa info. " pag talikod ko sa likod ng isang madilim na area may table at details of what to put on the envelope grrrrr...."

So malamang mag drop box nalang ako with MC.

Sa Winnipeg din po kami :)

Hahahaah di ba Dos2unix ang dilim!

Super careful pa ako to look around the area for postings of important details but the place was too scary.
Parang pwedeng may abduction na maganap! But I still went at the back of the office ha to see if there were
any other people I can bother hahahah.... madilim pa rin.

I strongly advice for people to go to the dropbox since it will go straight to the Embassy.

HI Sorry

got too excited sharing my story when I dropped off my RPRF payment in Canadian Embassy in Manila. I thought the place was scary since it was located in the basement of a building parking lot that was poorly lit.

I was telling them about the amount I had to pay for the RPRF - I just followed the amount on the website
specified per country. So far it looks like it does not matter if the exchange rate is different from the present cost now.

I advised them to use Manager's Check drawn from a local bank and addressed to the local Visa Office which is Canadian Embassy of Manila. A manager's check will easily be negotiated within the country; whereas a bank draft will be sent to Receiver General of Canada based in Canada and it will be subject to almost a month long clearance.

My manager's check was received by CEM drop box Sept 6 and was encashed Sept. 13 another member poster here she used a bank draft and has not seen changes in her ecas status for almost a month since she sent the draft. My apologies for not using english.

Thanks.. My point is just that we all are very eager to know whats goining on. So if english is used as a common language, it benefits all??

Hi musti2683,

I completed the Medical test with same doctor on last Monday, but i am going to Laboratory for Blood test on Coming Monday.

We just had our medicals at SL-GC. The ambiance is super nice and world class. I highly recommend it because no appointment is needed, no lines and hassle free (it will take you 3-4 hours to get all the tests done, depending on the number visa applicants), and maybe not yet known to other visa applicants. The nurse on duty told me, the maximum visa applicants in a day (from 8am to 5pm) is around 30. SL-Ermita caters up to 300 plus visa applicants, so you need to go there before 7am to finish the medical exams early (first come, first serve).
At SL-GC, a guard will ask for your IMM1017, medical request letter, passports and 4 pieces passport size picture. Once complete, he will then give your respective number for queuing and forms to fill up, so better have extra PENS with you. And don’t forget to note down the address of your sponsor because there is a part in the form that asks for the contact person and address of your sponsor. I just want to inform you about this because other visa applicants don’t know the exact address of their sponsor. It will be time consuming to call or text your family or relative to locate the address of your sponsor.
Another form (HIV questionnaire) will be given to you. You will need your philhealth number here. After filling up all the forms, you will present this to the nurse on duty for checking and verification. Once documents are complete, it is time to pay and series of tests (vital signs monitoring, blood tests, urinalysis, height and weight, physical examinations, chest x-ray. and eye check up) will start.
For nurses there are additional tests (HBsag Screening) needed. So you will need to pay additional fees for this tests. It will cost you around 3000 pesos each. So better have some extra money.
Oopps… I almost forgot, you need some coverings (jackets) if you will take your medicals at SL-GC. It is super cold.
I hope this will be of help to those visa applicants who are still deciding where to take their medical examinations.
