Same here, very frustrated ... Does CIC work on Weekends ?

Some say yes... But I've never heard of any PPR email sent over the weekend; only ecas updates.

Hi Friends,

First of all I want to thank all the ones who helped me in this forum to become a PR.

Today I completed my landing at Lewiston-Queenston Bridge Niagara Falls. I just want to share the expirence with you guys so that it could be helpfull for others.

I went by car with my family along with my friend who is also doing the Landing and we have taken U- turn at Lewiston-Queenston Bridge and the POE/Immigration officers informed us they are not allowing this process. They informed that they stopped this process on Feb 10th 2014. Also, they suggested us to cross the Border or call the CIC toll free number for landing.

To cross the Border, my family don't have US visa but then we crossed the Canada border and went to US and on the other side of the border, we directly informed that we are here for canada Immigration landing. US officer verified our passports and gave us Flag Pole slip and asked us to wait in the car itself near customs officer.

After 5 mins of wait, another customer officer (lady) came out to car and taken travel docs(Passports). She din't speak anything else. After waiting for 5 more mins with patience, she came back and gave back the passports with one White letter(Administrative Refusal) and showed us the way to go back to canada.

Along with the letter we came back to canada immigration and gave all the necessary docs for landing. The same immigration officer was there who initially refused to take the landing of us. Now he is happy and completed our landing process with out any problems and congratualted us for getting PR.

I submitted my application in May 2013 (rcvd by CIC May 13 2013). I got med request on Jan 24 and did it Feb 17 but I haven't received RPRF / Biodata request yet. Sumbitted PCC December 2013. Im really worried - my ECAS status is still App received but it also states med received. What do you guys think is going on with my application?
This is really stressful, any guidance on this will be greatly appreciated.

I have read in another thread that it could take even a month to get RPRF. GOod thing in your case is Med's are received. May be you'll get RPRF & PPR together :)

Congratulations!

I am surprised that they did not allow landing after taking U-turn. I did my landing on 1st March, 2014 and I took U-turn and my landing was smooth. I feel it depends on officer completely how he changes the rules on the run time.

If a U-turn is not allowed since 10th Feb, 2014 then I should not have allowed. :)

Hi Vinny, did they request RPRF after your docs were received? If you dont mind can you share what docs were requested? .It happened like that to me, was curious its the same for you. My ECAS changed to In Process when RPRF was requested.

Actaully I have paid RPRF and ecas status is "medical results have been received", they have asked me to provide additional documents for "evidence of my marriage" as I included my spouce in my application in November, 2013.

Thanks for the response guys, its just exhausting waiting for CIC to process my application; But then again I should count my blessings, at least I got the MR request already.
