That's a first, never heard about CIC making such a call. I might be wrong lol. But if they did call...then that's great news for sure.

Just a heads up to all May applicants, we just had a call from the CEC office in Ottawa saying our passports were about to be requested (and they were preparing our landing documents) and to expect the request very soon. so nice of them :) looks like it's finally happening!

That is a very exciting news for us. I am getting nervous since last night because my Ecas status changed to "Decision Made" for 2 days and I still have no ppr email from CIC.

Did anyone also get the call from the CEC office?

Thank you.

Nobody responding to my query :'(

wahaha8866 : Please dont worry, it seems its normal for them to take 3 - 4 days to send the PPR request. I think you will get it by today or max by tomorrow.

yep they did for sure. They were double checking something regarding our application and at the same time they mentioned that our landing information was being processed right now and to expect the request shortly. they also reminded us what to bring for the border crossing :)

Hello Guys,

I got PPR request today in the morning (thank God). Currently my wife is in India and I am in UK. She is the primary applicant and has gone to India for a vacation. I am planning to go to India by end of this month. Can I go directly to VFS office in India and get it done or I need some kind of letter from CIC.

Request your help.
You cannot go directly. You will need authorization from CIC via email. I'm not sure if they would let you submit your passports in India especially if your mailing/residential address is not in India. Try emailing CPC-Ottawa for clarification.

Thank you GETPR2013. I dont want to do anything except checking the email every second... I hope I will get this lovely email as soon as possible by today.

Thanks wessless

Yeah, my mailing address is in UK and my VISA is expiring by this month end. I can't send my passport to UK VFS as it would be too risky plus my wife is already in India.

Do I need to inform CIC about this or shall I just ask whether I can apply it from India or not ?

Thanks again.

Seems like MAY applications are in a process of PPR now..
But not sure if everyone should get a call like vispp..this is the first case I have seen getting a call from CIC for confirmation on PPR or landing processing.

Inform CIC that you have moved back to India and update your adress. Then request for stamping of visa in India. Your wife, you mentioned she's in India on vacation, is she visiting from UK or Canada?? If Canada then I guess when she goes back she can submit passport to Ottawa. I believe you have either 30 or 60 days to submit passport, the PPR email should mention this.
