Hi All,

The below is my case, please need an advise.

Currently working in Montreal, Quebec (client).
Employer base location is Toronto.
I have been in Montreal for 2 years and applied under CEC.
I have also prior experience in Toronto for 2 years before and working for the same employer.
I applied under CEC in May and received my AOR in the last month.

What are the chances of getting query. Does anybody under the same situation, if so please share the experience.

Hi,
I am in the same situation. I sent my application with CELPIP test results indicating a score of 3H for Speaking. All other scores were 4L or above.
My application was received on May 21st and AOR sent on July 4th. I will be sitting a test again (May be I should go this time with the TEF exam since French is my frist language). I haven't received rejection email yet but I'm expecting my current application to be returned anytime soon. If this is not the case by the time I receive new and "valid" test results, I will email CPP-Ottawa to see if it is ok to send the new test scores. I'm not expecting any miracle but it's worst trying before sending a brand new application.
Please comment as much as you want.

Can anyone Let me know how does the Process go after receiving the AOR?

Do we have to submit any other documents.How will the communication Happen(mode) here after receiving the AOR?

When will we have to take the Medical examination?After that what are the Processes involved?

How long will it take to get the PR card/PR number?Any costs involved after that?

The Current PR Process under CEC class says the process takes only 12 months .

From when is this calculated?Is it from the date we receive the AOR or the date the Canadian Gov has received the Application.
Can anyone please let us know?

1-I have a valid work permit expiring in Dec 2014 but it is a closed WP
2- have an AOR (received on July)

With the AOR being in hand,is this considered as a Open WP?

What is Bridging Open Work Permit Actually?

I have a valid Closed WP till Dec 2014

Can i apply for this WP by Any chance since I have received my AOR in hand?

No. It is still a closed work permit. You can only apply for an open work permit in August 2014

Ok Thanks for your reply..Is there anyway that we can change the conditions in the WP so that it can be converted to open WP from Closed WP

You can try by sending a covering letter. I know couple of guys who were in the same situation as yours but got their open work permit

Hey Anni, your dates and location are very similar to mine. Have you tried to find out why AOR is taking so long?

I don't think so, I haven't heard otherwise. My online status shows application received on the 24th of May and that is all it says. I haven't received any email from them.
