I'm planning to send the package tomorrow, do you suggest regular or express mail?

Hope to join the group soon!

Xpress of course. At least it won't take as much time and you can track the package.

Thanks and I believe it should be courier address for express post too?

Hi. Sent my hubby's application on May 15. Reached CIO-Sydney on the 21st. Submitted without the PCCs (Japan and Philippines). PCC from the Phils will be released on The first week of June while Japan's reached our mailbox today but the date of the cert is April 12, 2013. I understand that PCCs should be no more than 3 months old from submission. AOR might not come until 3rd week of July. Thus, we plan to submit it second or third week of June. Does anyone know how to submit PCCs without AOR yet? Like where (CIO-Sydney or CPP-Ottawa)? And what email address we can communicate with to confirm receipt of original PCCs? Do you guys also know if we can open the PCCs? I wanna have them photocopied but Japan PCC is in a sealed envelope which is addressed to: The Authorities Concerned, Canada... I'd better leave it that way, hey? just like CELPIP's Official Score... Thanks in advance for the comments.

Do not attempt to submit PCC without receiving the AOR considering that you have to submit PCC in original and there is a risk of it not getting added to your file.
Your AOR will detail where your file is headed. Your file will reach CPP Ottawa sooner or later. Email > ottpilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca.
CIC has no requirement to submit PCC in a sealed envelope. Check Japan PCC rules if it loses authenticity on opening it by a third party.

Thanks Andy.. Since CIO-Sydney has already received our application on May 21st which is within three (3) months from date of PCC Japan (April 12, 2013 as stamped on the outside envelope), does that mean that we can provide the PCC anytime once AOR is received, even though it has reached 3 months from date of PCC (July 13 onwards)? If we get AOR prior to July, we wouldn't worry much. So hopeful that we get AOR this June.

I just called the Consulate General of Japan in Calgary as to whether we can open the envelope or not, and they said opening it would invalidate the PCC issued, and they wouldn't be able to send another one as they only give one police certificate from overseas request, unless it expires and CIC requests for it. As much as possible, we would not want to be requested for an updated PCC because it takes almost three (3) months to have it processed by Tokyo.

Thanks for your reply, buddy! :)

Sent mine on May 28, but since I am overseas I may fall under the June 2013 thread. Anyway, with all the talks about PCC, where did it state the 3 months validity? From the checklist, it states 1 year validity. Can someone clarify this? I have one PCC in hand and hope I don't need to redo it. Thanks!

(Follow up) I found a thread that talked about this, namely that the application must be submitted within 3 months of the issuance date, but once we apply, the PCC is valid for a year from the date of issuance.

Yep you are right. I had to get the japanese police certificate last year. Its supposed to be submitted to CIC sealed - as it comes from japan.

hi guys,

the company where i got my 1 year skilled work experienced was already closed and therefore all the contact information of that company which is in the letter head of my reference letter is no longer available. (office phone #, including the company's website). The only contact information which i also included in my reference is my employers personal number.

Im a bit worried what if the VO will verify my work experience and can't contact the office phone number?

Should i send a letter regarding this matter?

thanks
