One has to give family details also.

Let say, my father has no passport and UID will also not be applicable. In such case is there any mandatory requirement to give any of the Identity proof (for father), either passport or UID.

Regards

I have come across a column asking for national identity document number (if any, but not mandatory) for principal applicant and spouse in one of the forms, but not parents or siblings. Can you please mention your point of reference? Thanks.

Parents as dependents.
So you may need to submit some documents which proves the citizenship of a person to a particular country.
I would suggest take no chances.Have all the documents ready. You can apply for your fathers passport still have 5 months to go.Tatkal passport is also an option i think.
Also check the rules for PR of parents whether that can be done ?

Hello boys.....

My friend has Bachelors degree (4 years) from India. Then he completed 2 years Masters in Canada from a Canadian University. Does he still need to get his Education Credentials assessed ? Or not need ?

Thanks.

your friend would NOT have to get education credentials checked for the masters from Canada. The CIC hasn't given out complete guidelines for educational credentials check yet, so I am not sure if one has to do that for only the highest degree obtained (Master's in your friend's case) or for all the secondary/post-secondary degrees obtained. In case we have to get the credentials assessed for all the degrees, then the Bachelors degree from India would have to be assessed. But we will know for sure when more information is out, hopefully soon.

Hi ASK,

Need your help in computation of points, so that I should not be mistaking anywhere in computing points. Below are the basis.

1. Education- Completed - till M.Com level from Himachal University (Correspondense). So Masters Done- (2 years considered as full time equivalent study). 17 years

Hence 25 points

( Schooling 12 years + BCoM (correspondense)3 years + M. COm 2 years = 17 years) I am CA, not considering the same under education.

2. Language - on Conservative basis lets say point Band 6 obtained in all the abilities. So 2 x 4 = 8 Points

3. Experience ( as financial auditor) = More than 5 years = So 21 Points

4. Age = 32 years = So, 10 points.

5. Arranged employment -= No. Hence 0 points.

6. Adaptability = Considering Point 5 under instruction guide. Where it says wife has completed 17 years of full time education. She is Masters in Finance and control ( 2 years) + B.Com ( 3 years) and schooling (12 years) = 17 years .

Hence 5 points.

Summary Points
1. education 25
2. language 8
3. experience 21
4. age 10
5. arranged employment 0
5. adaptability 5
ToTal points 69

Can you please look into same and please let me know if have doubt arises.

Regards

Hi,

The complete picture of the new immigration system to be open from May 4th, 2013 is not yet out. There are still areas like the eligible NOCs, cap on each NOC, credential assessment partners, etc which are not officially published. However, based on the information provided by CIC so far, some immigration consultant had prepared a points chart which can be temporarily used as a reference in calculating your points. You can calculate your points easily usng the help of this chart, which is self-explanatory. As far as I can see, the CIC website has not yet started displaying this point structure. Remember, CIC has the final say! Here is the link below:

Hope it helps.

This calculation is not useful fot future reference. Now NOC must be there to start with. And the point system is changed as well. Wait for the full version. Moreover, do your IELTS to have exact or better idea where you stand.

@ agshaheryar

please study new criteria, where your education is not under FSW, but may be under PNP. therefore read the changes for 2013 first you start your own calculations. NEKEOL

My wife will be applying coming for FSW coming May but we are really confused on the NOC code. CIC has yet to formally announce the list of NOC jobs and determining which code would be most appropriate is just driving us crazy. I have found that most of the rejection on FSW program has been due to wither misrepresenting your self with unrelated NOC code or either with mismatch of job duties that has been laid out on the specified NOC occupation.

Good evening! try to visit NOC 2011 in google and try to click MATRIX the noc that you are looking is already divided by skilled A,B and O and level since October 2012.

Hey Everyone! ;) I will be applying for FSW on May 2013. I already did my home work on checking my score against the new points system. It seems I passed. But for the sake of reassurance, can you guys check out my qualifications, in case I missed something.

IELTS: Listening 7.0; Reading 8.0; Writing 6.5; Speaking 8.5.
Age: 29 y.o.
Education: Masters in Nursing
Working Exp: 2 years
Adaptability: Biological Sister

My husband is 28 y.o. and will be taking IELTS soon too. Do I get the passmark? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
