I called CIC and asked them for this number, it will be an 8 digit number I believe that will be found on the landed immigration papers of the spouse who is sponsoring. The gut at the call centre told me that if i am unable to find that number i can just put in 8 8's on that form and validate it then white it out and leave it blank, and they can fill it in he said. But i called in a second time and i eventually got that number and put it on the form IMM 1344 and then validated it. But to make sure I would call them and double check, things seem to keep changing for them...

good luck

and yes my papers fell behind 3 weeks for this single form :(

Dear All,
I do have a question, UCI or ID number? is it right to use the number of Canadian Certificate number??? I just checked in the web page, on-line service and there was not listed among the documents where you can find it.
My second question is how come that during the validation of IMM1344 form the system did not show to me an error code???????????
i was sure that this number (7 digits, no letter, no space) was fine!!. Now that we have filled out all the forms and dated on 11-th of May all the other forms, do we have to replace this code with Permanent resident number?? or one of the options appears in the web??
i have to resign it and send it through mail- to Canada to my Husband, and this is losing one or two weeks more::((( i am felling vary bad now!!

Hi , I am a May 2012 Applicant from India . I filed my application on 10th may. Can anybody please add me to the May spreadsheet ....:)..??

And he we are, the 'clients' without any information. Wait, did we all pay them a fee for something? What was that for? Oh, yes, now I remember...the worst immigration service in the developed world! And my American friend said that immigrating to Canada would be a lot faster than the US...not anymore...

When I get home I am going to go directly to a few newspapers to see about getting this in the press...I'm a Canadian citizen and I definitely deserve better service than this...this is what I would expect from a country like China...

Amen to that! Take a stance and make it count.....definately not sitting on the fence now, ;) :P :D

Hey everyone!!!

Time over here is going pretty quickly. I don't check the website often and try to focus on living life & it helps me to take my mind off things.

Hope you're all hanging in there.

I've seen a few people here whose applications were returned to them by CIC. I've been really worried about it since I sent ours away two weeks ago. From what I've heard, if we don't receive it back after 2-3 weeks it's a good sign? Anybody can comment?

Today is one of those days :( I hope to see a lot of people approved in the Feb and March thread. I makes me feel they are getting closer to opening the May packages.

Hi,

I would probably say yes... you should be fine... I know mine came back after like 15 days i think... it was very depressing but at least if it comes back now its better then waiting 90 days then getting it back to re-send..

do u have any news if they have started March?? I just wish they could move a bit faster... this is hard...

can I ask where your spouse is that you are sponsoring from??

Hi alish,

I hope so, too. It's really difficult to see the package again in my mailbox!

Yes, they have started March. A few people from Feb are still waiting or their approvals, but Feb is mostly finished. The latest I've seen was someone from March 14th got approved. Although, still there are some early March people who haven't received their approvals yet. I'd say give or take 3 weeks, around the 90-day mark.

This thread is summing up all the spreadsheets nicely:

M husband is from Georgia, and the separation is really difficult. I also hope they speed up the process. I agree, it's really difficult to wait with no outlook of when things are gonna resolve.

Someone mentioned the Buffalo situation... I am not sure what that means?? can anyone clarify the "Buffalo" situation that apparently delayed the cic processing time.?

They shut down the office, and 4 others in America. Everything was sent back to Canada and things are being sent to other satellite offices and Ottawa.. no one really knows where their app will end up now because you it won't go to Buffalo after Mississauga approves.

Thank you BCgirl2012..
good luck on your application... hopefully soon March will be over and lets cross our fingers that there were not many applicatnts for March and April...90 days for step 1 is way too much... I have been away from my husband for 3 months now and the idea of not seeing him for another 6-8 months is killing me... I wish someone from CIC would see our posts and our cries out to them so that they could honestly speed things up... :(
