Basically Bonitanita as British citizens (Visa exempt) Once we get to stage 2 of the app we might not hear anything at all (not sure if London VO issues AOR) they will contact us if any additional documents required i.e medicals expired, supporting evidence or if police check needs updating. You will keep your pp through out the process.

I hope I do hear something as I wish to add further documents myself but my file is somewhere between Miss and Lon VO so at the moment I have to sit tight and wait until my wife tells me her sponsorship has been approved and I know for sure London has the file, right now I suspect she has been approved but cant send additional information because I am not sure if my file is in London or Canada lol

If your package does not require any additional information, yes your copy of COPR might be the first you hear from Lon VO.

as of visa exempt countries. you receive a letter saying send the photocopies of your passport. i know this is the procedure for usa and i read on this forum somewhere that one person got the letter saying for visa exempt countries. and london is visa exempt country as well. and if its like that then the procedure goes like send the photocopies of the passport and then i guess along with that they send you the copr

Really hoping this process hurries up. We're in an awful situation over here. Hubby is working a min wage job and I sit at home all day doing sweet eff all. Unfortunately, something happened and we have to move out of this place where we were getting cheap rent. He can't afford rent for both of us right now in another place on his wage so he's giving up his job and we're moving back to his parents basement for now. SUCKS! I love his parents but absolutely hate living in someone elses house. He is trying to get a job out west in Alberta because then, he will be earning loads and he will be on rotation where he flies in and out. If he does, we'll be able to rent anywhere we want (we want to move to vancouver). Anyway, he took some courses and has sent 150 resumes in the past 2 weeks. Please, please cross your fingers for us..... we really need all the positive vibes we can get right now. I am 31 and going back to live in his parents house Just wish I could bloody work already!

Hey all,

Just checked e-case today and under sponsorship it says "decision made" - clicking on that takes me to another screen and it tells me that a decision has been made and a letter was mailed on 7/10 - is it normal for it to not show the decision (accept/reject) in e-case?

Also, under the PR section, it now says medical results have been received.

I have no idea why it's going so quickly, hopefully it's good news. I also need to send them more communication proof i.e. text print-outs (there were a lot of pages, so we just sent the the phone records). I guess nobody would know where to send those given that Ottawa is in the mix now?

Have you looked at some volunteer work? It might be good way to kill time. Besides when it comes to the time when you are able to work, it would be easy to find a job if you have Canadian experience. Although you seem to come from "privileged" country, it probably won't hurt your resume! I've been sending my resumes but no responses ???. I'm stressed out not getting a job and stressed out our status not changing .

I filed my application on May 22nd. CIC received on May 23rd. I just checked the online application status using the application number they gave me, but it's not there yet.
