Yeah its forever getting messed up! Some parts have an order and some parts don't, a little like CIC I suppose!

I have no idea what is happening with mines. Got a reply on October 26th (exactly a month now!) after sending a case inquiry (mainly after hearing about your story!!) telling me that "Your file is currently under review with an immigration officer and they will be in contact should they require any further information or have any updates." But since then my ECAS hasn't changed from Application received and I haven't heard anything at all. So I'm not sure where I stand, I thought that meant I was in process but beginning to think I was wrong. I'm just grateful to know it is in London but other than that I know very little.

We are going home to Scotland on the 12th December and I had really hoped to flagpole before then but looks like I will be Landing in January when we return. If I'm lucky by the looks of things... ::)
Hey Johare,

There is a difference between under review and in process. Under review is where your file is looked at for a complete package. No missing medicals, pcc's, evidence, forms etc etc etc. Once they have established that your file has everything then it is passed to an official who has the authority to issue the DM. Once it is passed to the reviewing officer who can issue COPR. In process is the very very last step before COPR is issued.

If London spreadsheet is anything to go by. It looks like they are still finishing off July applicants. It looks like now before Xmas they will finish off July hopefully and maybe half of August's but it is certainly going slow. I am not sure on their holiday dates for Xmas but I would assume they have 3 or 4 days over xmas but from mid December, I really think things will slow dramatically.

Fingers crossed that London pushes out a lot more COPR's before Xmas. :D

Good luck!

We're struggling to make an plans. We're here in Canada but afraid to leave incase I have trouble coming back in. We really wanted to go south for xmas and get some sun but the stress of it all makes it too hard to relax. Was thinking of going to London instead for a few weeks but my mother is going to be away in Barbados and it seems pointless travelling home for a visit if she is not going to be there.

Hoping for some good news from the MP this week!

Enjoy your trip!
I really hope you get good news soon, hopefully its just become a case of miss-communication after the initial problems!

I can only imagine your stress, based on my own stress levels.
I honestly thought stage 2 was going to be easy compared to the May stage 1.

I really would love to have good news before we leave so I can really enjoy my trip home :(

I never realised there was a difference either. My wife spoke with an immigration consultant and basically from what I gathered is your package sits collecting dust for a few months, then when it is picked up and looked at, that is under review and when the officer who makes the decision gets to your file then it goes to "in process"

I was E-mailed a few weeks ago saying it was under review, I assumed it meant I was almost there, apparently not so lol. I ideally want it this week or next week because I am flying out on the 12th December and I have stuff to ship but can't without it. Running out of time.

Well....your wasting your time then, and as you said, you have a life.
Your sheet is useless without compliance, which there clearly is not...therefore it is useless...

Sorry, I mean no offense, and ya, maybe open sheets can turn into a disaster, but the fact is these sheets are only useful for the stage that are similar....ex, stage 1, we are all in the same boat...stage 2 we are in different VO boats.

And BTW.....I came from flippin' Canada!

Cheers

Lets hope the In Process starts for us in the next week or two or even better it jumps straight to decision made! Wishful thinking :)

Is this you flying out for good no? or just to visit?

Providing there is no interview, then yes that is me coming out for good. Just tying up my loose ends at home now but very close to being ready. Can't wait but I do feel if I had COPR it would be a totally different feeling.

And yourself?

Yes I can imagine, I'm worried I will be in the same situation.
I have been in Canada since the end of August, not working and just waiting! we are both going back to Scotland for a month on the 12th December to have a nice Christmas with our families and then HOPEFULLY January will be the real move with the COPR I hope!

I sure do hope that they have some news for you soon!

An update on my file.

I received an E-mail from London VO which says.

Good morning,

Thank you for the information. Your application will soon be approved and your Confirmation of Permanent Residence Form will be issued and mailed. Please confirm that the documents should be mailed to XXXXXXXX , XXXX if they are issued and mailed before 12th of December.

Regards,
CDD.

I Guess that means the end is very near for me after exactly 6 months. Nothing left to do but wait for the mail man to arrive with the documents. My medicals had expired and I will update what expiry they give me on the documents when I receive them.

Hope everybody else hears very soon. Good luck. :D
