"We have now completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview. While an interview does not appear necessary at this time, we reserve the right to call you to an interview, should this become necessary at some future stage in processing.

WOOT! Getting closer ;D Wish I knew how much longer it will be before my visa is issued. Will have to notify my work so they can find a replacement and I will have to train them.

Category - Family; Visa office - Buffalo (Guess Ottawa now?); Mailed to CPC-M 4.24.12; Rec'd 5.02.12; Medical done Aug 2011 (I'm guessing I'll need a new one before they approve my application as it's only valid a year?); Sponsor Approved 7.25.12; My application in progress per website 10.01.12; CIC e-mailed request for info 10.01.12; Mailed the requested info to CIC 10.16.12; CIC e-mailed interview waiver and passport request 11.09.12

Hey and congrats,

Yeah you can't set up a timeline because you need 10 posts (It is an anti spam measure). Once you got your 10 posts then you can make a profile. Same goes with PM's need to hit the 10 post mark.

With regards to your medicals, like yourself mine have expired also but IF they are ready to issue the Visa within 15 months (absolute maximum) they can apply for an extension. It may be possible depending when you had the medical in August 2011, if it was very late August, you might just make an extension and if was prior to 9th August they can't issue the extension. The medical must be the only thing holding up the visa, you never know they may have already applied for this and you are good to go, you will for sure find out once that medical hits exactly 15 months.

Hi

My wife is canadian national, we are currently leaving in saudi arabia since 1 yr. she filled for PR from saudi with current mailing address of saudi arabia.

Today my ecas updated with current mailing address of my wife but it is asudi address not canada address as she mention her current mailind address as saudi.

My ecas shws in process with update address ..... It is good sign or not.
