Finally I lost my patient and my lawer called to CIC and agent just only conformed they have received my file but they told me to wait week and next week I might get AOR or approval....

This too too much frustration if I knew all this stuff I would never go to India get married

don't be so frustrated.....your application has not exceeded the date on the CIC website.....hang in there a little longer......don't forget the best things in life are worth waiting for........

I am worried they just dont return my application if there is I missing something bz I just read one thread and he was writting his experience that cic sent back his file bz it was something damaged

My friend, the same i have been thinking everyday before i saw that AOR letter, stay positive and hope for the best..thats what i keep on telling myself everyday. so dnt worry your approval email is just on the way..will come anytime...all this is really hard and full of stress..

This is not the correct frame of mind. They work for us. We do not work for them. Our taxes have paid for this department and on top we also pay for our individual applications.
The procedure as I've been told is to process the applications as the come in. If there or applications being processed months apart then obviously they are not following that procedure. It is completely unfair and contemptuous to treat people who have paid for this process as "no one special".

Yeah, it'd be nice to look at it that way, but when I say no one special.. it means no one is getting special treatment over another. They just grab what they want and do them on their time. It isn't the greatest treatment, but they are not favoring others later in the game. They don't even know us... how can they? It'd be like randomly grabbing a package and saying, "Oh I like how they labeled the package, they'll be before these people" - ya know what I mean? And it is the correct frame of mind because no one can make it go faster but them, no lawyer or whatever can speed it up. Anyone who claims they can, actually is supposed to be reported to the government because it's false.

I am so happy.. but im also sad that some people who applied before me have not been sent one yet. (I know how it feels to receive news from people who applied later than me and they got approved before me). Try calling the call centre... I know they are not really helpful because they dont have any info to give at all about the sponsorship status, but everytime after I call them, i receive an email. On monday, I called them and got through after several times, not to mention i was at work at 2:20pm and i had to take extra 20 minutes break cause i had to wait for them to answer, but anyway, after that call, (which was really a useless call because the agent didnt have any news for me) I recevied an email about AOR at 11:08 pm, same day.... then today is my day off so i called them again and got through, i just wanted to ask why the ecas was not working, as usual the agent didnt have a real answer for me , she just said that the file might not be electronically updated yet (whatever that means), that was 9am when i called them, then at 11:04 am i received an email. It's just weird that i receive an email everytime after i call them. maybe it's a coincidence? but who knows. Anyway, Im sure we're all approved, there's just really something wrong with their IT system, or whatever. Hoping others will get theirs soon too.

Hi all: I received my AOR thru email last night at around 11pm !! Automated email from a robot in Mississauga! Just AOR, but not approval yet! Application was received on 14th May, 2012. Now waiting for approval ? How long ? Who knows!!

congrats!!!! approval is usually anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks for the sponsor!!!!! it may come via email or snail mail.......just start checking ecas in a couple of days.....
