Hi,

I called CIO's call office today, and after a long wait what they replied me was quite strange.

The person attended my call told me that, CIO is working currently on the applications they received till 24th of May, and they will not be able to provide me with any information before next week.

I ve even sent them an email at FSW-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca on 21-07-2011, but havent received anything from them.

I still haven't received any acknowledgement(file no./client no.) from them.

Dont know wat to do now :'(.....

All comments would be welcomed....

That is the crap they tell you when you call them, look at the tracker and you see what I mean. You are not the only one they they told this when others who applied later had their PERs. The best thing to do is send an e-mail with your name, DoB, Country of birth. You will get an automatic response saying bla bla bla, and then in 3-5 days you will get a personalised e-mail with an application number which you use to check ecas. E-mail address is: FSW-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca. All the best! Mandie

Thanks a lottttttttt Najeeb, Nashe and Mandie.....Wish we all sail through quickly ;D

Hii all
Just wanted to share with everyone that i was very close to NER because i did not submit degree certificate of my wife and her relatives documents to claim adaptability points. I realized about the missing documents after reading this forum. I had NER in my mind but thought about trying my luck. I wrote to CIC regarding this and sought their permission to submit the missing documents. They replied to me the second day and told me that i can submit the documents but there is no guarantee that the documents will be added to the file. I told my wife to submit the documents as she is already in Canada. She submitted the documents a week earlier and this turned NER to PER.

Congrats and that was a very good try instead of given up. I think they are reasonable pple. Anyway congrats on ur PER.

Hi,
I received a mail from CIO with a UCI NUMBER and the mail stated that my application received a positive eligibility. I received the mail on 18th July. However, today when I checked my ecas status it states "We received your application for permanent residence on May 24, 2011.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on July 18, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

What does it mean..... is this all about the mail I received or is there any letter (postal) that they said.

Please, say.

Thanks

Nothing to worry about dear....We all had the same information. Looks like PER was meant to be by snail mail, but they send it by e-mail intead. This is the only confirmation of PER. Any other letter will be from your VO....Mandie

congrats harry and Saurav....

I still didn't get any acknowledgment from CIO, my document received by them on May 18th, i just want to ask seniors....
the enquiry email to CIO for case information has any especial format or not?...usually after how long they answer us?.....
I feel if they don't give PER on time to people usually it means not so good :(
