Hello Fellow members,
I had sent the PR application for me and my spouse ,it reached CIC by April 28th and I see my credit card has been charged now on May 5 2011.I would like to know whats the procedure after this?

I am currently in the USA and have chosen New Delhi as my Visa Office and also have given my Indian Address as my mailing address, since I may go back to India by 2012. I know there are 2 AORS, medical etc...But can somebody tell me what are the exact steps after the credit card is charged and also if possible the timeline until the PR VISA is stamped.

Thanks
JD

The next step is to wait to receive PER from CIC and then your file will be transferred to you VO, who will in turn issue you AOR, before medicals and the rest. For now, PER is the next step. it might be worth your while to read this thread on March 2011 applicants:

Check this out. Scroll through the TOP stickies for some good valuable info.

I am gonna send my Application to CIO this week, hopefully. Almost done with the "Tinkering" and gathering of the docs. Lets keep each other updated as well. Reduces the pain I guess :)

Hi, I have sent my application package by courier on 9th May. What will happen next? How would I get the immigration file number to track my status? I have seen you are discussing about PER. What does PER stands for?

PER MEANS POSITIVE ELIGIBILITY REVIEW IN OTHER WORLD AOR...PER NORMALLY COMES NOWADAYS 30-45 DAYS...ONCE U GOT PER FROM CIO...THEN UR FILE TRANSFER TO UR VISA OFFICE...AGAIN VISA OFFICE OFFICER REVIEW ALL THE CREDENTIALS...WHETHER IT IS OK OR NOT...HE MIGHT BE REQUEST SOME OTHER CREDENTIALS..LIKE LATEST PROOF OF FUND/BANK STATEMENT... AND ISSUE 2 AOR...THEN AFTER MR,PR, AND LANDING FEE....THEN VISA..THATS IT...

Hi everyone: A small note to Canadian-dream, it is considered more polite to type in small font. It is too hard to read CAPS...
Logical: you will get your file number when CIO have done the first assessment on your application. All going well, you will get a PER which will include a number you can use. Unfortunately, no one is finding eCas to be completely reliable.

Thanks Pippin for the answer. Is there any other way to check application status other than eCas?

I don't think so. The best resource seems to be the tracker so you can compare your progress with the rest of the group. If your timelines stray far from the norm, you can send an enquiry, otherwise it is a matter of practicing your typing skills on the Forum and learning to be patient.

This thread seems to have very low level of popularity. I guess there will be very low number of applicants who is applying this month.

I posted my application (NOC 4152) on 13th May via UPS. Schedule delivery is 17th. not everyone in the forum has joined the tracker. I wish every one good luck!

When we (Who have applied in 1st and 2nd week of May) can expect to receive PER?

As per the tracker, the average days between application received and PER for recent applicants is 26 to 45 days. We May applicants should be looking for PER in June. Good luck!

Folks,
One question,How will the PER / AOR be sent, would that be an Email or a snail mail sent to the address mentioned in our self addressed labels?

Those in receipt of PER mentioned e-mail. On one of the forms, we provided an e-mail which automatically becomes one form of correspondence. Read somewhere in this forum that CIO sends PER through thi nonreply apply address: FSW-Centralized_Intake-Office@cic.gc.ca. It is for information only and not to be responded to. You can save this address in your contact so that it doesn't go your junk mail. hope this helps!
