I am thinking to get student permit till the time I am waiting.
I have started getting positive responses from Universities for PhD with funding from canada, and I dont know which date to give them to arrive there. I guess student visa wont cost much time.
I just dont know wather or not I need to send new application. I mean as per their information in cic website. I can do dual application.

Any suggestion?

i dont mean to be negative .. but they may not give you a student visa ... student visa holder needs to show intention to come back to their home country upon completion of their studies .. not sure how you are going to show that since u already applied for PR ... i hope i m wrong but do some more research ....

Totally agree,
however, I have a point, u know if u check in cic website, they have given good advice of how to make dual application. and also they indicated that while u waiting for PR, you can apply for student permit..

i have a question. my bank closed and i happen to get another bank statement through the help of my parents. do i need to send this new bank statement to VO? also in this bank statement my parents name are listed in the statement. would this be ok?
