London Vo is has a set target of 17500 visas for this year ,see the link http://www.lawpoint.ca/images/stories/visatargets2011.png
now my question is that how many post june applicants have submitted their full docs to london vo,I guess their number so far is less than 40 (who r members of this forum,actual number can be multiplied with say 5,which means that ALMOST 200 applicants have submitted their applications under new rules,of-course they will be issued visas on priority basis ,similarly may be they double/triple the current figures till the end of this year , so overall such applicants would figure around3000- 4000 at the max. now the visas available will surely be for rest of us 2nd priority should of course be given to list of 38 Noc ,so lots of visas r available dear ,
Ihope that those applicants whose cases r moving ,getting 2nd AORs ,IN PROCESS,MR they will INSHAALLA get VISA THIS year.
this is my PURE GUESS,my guess moslty goes correct,
the real knowledge lies with GOD only.

Thanks for your information. This sheet you linked, is that true ? If so, then for London VO 17,500 visa on the other hand for Singapore it only for 1,100. Is it believable to us those who applied under Singapore VO ?

Actually, I wanted to do same. However, My consultant told me not to do that because of that our PR file will get meshed up and we as well as our dependant may hang on for years.

About universities, I have started applying for them, but for Jan'2012 term as we cant think to get PR by this sep so. Also with student visa, u will end up paying double the fees than with PR. I think for management studies, You have many options in terms of choosing universities. I guess you should deside which city u want to base to find universities easily. In other words, If u want to get admission just for visa purpose then u should find universities based at Toronto because you have massive scope for job around toronto.

i applied for student visa last july . when all consultants were saying that they were willing to gurantee that i wont get my study permit..
but i got it.. due to some family problem i couldn't go last year. i applied this jan again for fall sem. and on april 2nd i got my visa again..


just go ahead and do it..

with Canadian education u will be able to integrate into labor market more successfully than ordinary PRs

that's good for you umair81. we really need to take the advise of other people (in this case the consultants) with a grain of salt. nothing beats a good research on our part. goodluck!

here is the update from my side.

after 143 days of sending my full documnets to CHC London
yesterday i got my 2nd AOR through regular mail
AOR issuance date is 18th April delivered to me on 29th April
A new file Number has been pasted on the letter

It took almost complete year to reach till here as i submitted my initial application
to CIO on 23rd April and reached there on 3rd May 2010.

hopefully till May 2012 we will get our visas stamped on our Passports.

I am little bit confuesed now as its going to cost me a lot of money for the course and other things. But i have to make a decision if nothing happens on my PR till Aug or Sept this year. I am planning the course in Calrgary or Edmonton. Do you think my spouse can work fulltime in Canada.

Another question in my mind is, If i get the PR when I am doing the course in Canada, i need to take a break and get back to india and submit my passport in Delhi and I am not sure when am i suppose to get it back from the CHC. You can see many lads in this forum waited alsmot 4 moths plus to receive their passports back with visa. If the same thing happens to me, then my course is going to be useless. I dont know whether i can attend the course in a later time for compensating those parts I missed.

Anyways i have no choice if nothing happens in the coming 4 months.

I can guess what you mean. Infact, I have same deadlines. I mean waiting latest till Aug this year. I am also in a plan for the same by the end of this year. I guess, when u leave this country u will inform also in cic system u will be in canada so i guess your rest of the process will be handled from canada itself. I guess they might transfer your file there. This is the main reason I am trying to avoide to get student visa. I did good research on it wather or not to get student visa. Also I have visited student visa forum over here and they are also waiting endless to get visa stamped. So, it want be like in 1 month time u will surely get visa stamped.

About ur spose. They will come with u as a dependent. And u will be eligible to work for around 20hrs per week(again u can double check for accuricy), and your dependent wont be able to get ligle job till they get indipendent visa. Thats I think so
