Hi all,
We just posted our full docs today to the visa office (special delivery with insurance) - will let you know when it is received by VO. We checked our application maybe a dozen times before sending but I guess you can't spot every mistake. Application weighed just over 1kg. Decided in the end just to secure documents with a big elastic band in checklist order. They probably just stick it in their own folders once received anyway.
Glad to get it out - will be a relief when it's updated as received on their website.
Took a big effort to get all the documents and notarising was very expensive. Only received the last employer reference today after three weeks of repeated chasing. Took three trips to two different photographers to get the right picture sizes! All in all it has taken two months to collate everything at some cost to ourselves.
@ Jamesah - it's a real pain to get employer references that comply with rules - we just did the best we could. When we requested reference, we bullet pointed the visa checklist requirements. But there's only so much pressure you can apply to previous employers, especially as you no longer work there.
@IndianaJones (cool name btw) - Yes - it's a good milestone to reach the 100th page - the April applicants are on page 270!
