Hello Friends,

I have a question regarding the age restriction to apply for Canadian immigration. I am 60 years old and by profession I am a doctor based out of India, my wife is a 55 and a professional with Masters degree and 30 years of work experience.

My questions is: If I want to apply for the Canadian immigration is their a restriction based on age factor ?

Thanks.

Hi Dr_MK,

as per the immigration guide (IMM EG7000, page 13), there is 10 marks given for age, up to 54. Since you and your wife are older than 54 therefore you will get (0) mark for the age factor.

This doesn't mean that you can't apply, you still can provided you pass the score mark and you apply to the 29 NOC and for which the cap is not reached in that specific year.

Cheers

Nice clear response, Mezo! +1 for you! Good Luck to Dr and Mrs MK, you should have no trouble finding 67 points.
